Bad vehicles
Purchased a vehicle from dealership in march and they had to pick it up a week later. Service department attempted to repair it and I picked it up. Drove home and the car had the same issue as before only this time it was over heating. They picked it up again and tried again to repair it. They didn’t fix the problem. So they picked it up for the 3rd time. Received a call from service department and was told that the engine was bad and that they would replace it with a new engine. They had the vehicle during the warranty phase of the car which was 3 months or 36,000.00 miles . They called me after the warranty ran out and said the car was done. I picked up the car and drove home only to have the check engine light come on . So I checked the vehicle for the problem and once again the engine had issues. During this time I was already frustrated. During the 3 months that they had my vehicle I did ask about getting another vehicle because the one I had, had to many problems. I was told by Kevin In the finance team that I couldn’t get anything different. I had asked to speak to the owner about this issue and he called and left a message. I returned his call but he never answered. So I left several messages for him and never received a call back. Then I attempted to ask one last time for the dealership to replace the vehicle because it was a lemon and once again I was told by Kevin that I couldn’t do that and the only option I had was to continue making my payments or they would repo the car. I only owed a payment for July and they did not want to comply with anything that I had requested. I am a disabled veteran that doesn’t get a lot of money and they took advantage of my situation just to make a few bucks. I also bought a vehicle that broke down 6 months before it was due to be paid off and they took that car in as a buy back. The money I spent on the new car ( payments) I could have fixed the other vehicle. You guys must feel pretty proud of yourselves knowing that you took advantage of a disabled veteran!

They are very nice until you drive off the lot, after that they become really rude! I have about 1000. left to pay off the vehicle I bought and I plan to pay it off on my next payment. Despite the fact that I have lived at the same address and use the same two cards on file to make the payment I have to verify my address. Now mind you, this only started happening recently. When [redacted] was my account manager it was great, the next person who got the account not. My biggest complaint is how rude they are in taking a payment. I didn't but the car from these individuals, so how is it they feel they can be so rude while taking your money? If you go in person it's not different. One time some girl with insanely long nails took my payment and never even bothered to look up at me. Now that my vehicle is about to be paid off, I will look for another car. But not from here!!! With all of the attitude around there it must be a real pleasant place to work.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/10/27) */
Ms. [redacted] did purchase a auto from Joe Cooper Easy Credit Auto on 9/16/2014. Ms [redacted] called our office and inquired about the title and was told that if we did not have it in by 10/16/2014 ( Thursday ) we would re-contract her so...

that she would be in compliance. We received the title on 10/20/2014 (monday) and told the customer that we would have the title ready and she could pick up that day after 5. The customer came in to pick up the title on 10/27/2014. Joe Cooper Easy Credit Auto strives to by compliant in all our title work. I am sorry that the consumer feels like we have not attempted to help her.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/10/30) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I came in person asking when my title would be ready and was told there was a problem with the mileage typed on the title by the auction house they purchased my car from. When I finally did recieve my title the mileage read exempt. I was told that 10 year old cars are exempt & do not require mileage on the title. This makes me suspicious that the mileage on my car has been tampered with. I requested a car fax and was told to buy my own as Joe Cooper does not supply this. My car has 33 reports to car fax at 10 dollars each if I was to purchase them myself. I feel I am being taken advantage of and over charged for my car.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2014/11/07) */
Ms [redacted] is right in the fact that cars that are 10 years and older are exempt on the title. This however, does not mean that the mileage is wrong or that there is something wrong with the car. Joe Cooper Easy Credit Auto does not furnish car fax reports as a policy. The first claim was that we did not furnish the title in time and now the claim is that the customer thinks she was over charged for the car. It is not Joe Cooper's intention to not make a customer happy. If the customer wants to return the auto we will be happy to take the car back however, we will not return the 99 cent down payment nor the payments made because she has had use of the auto.

DO NOT BUY HEAR THEY HAVE A ACCOUNT MANAGER THERE NAMED REGINA WHO IS VERY RUDE SHE SET MY CAR UP FOR REPOSSESION AND MY PAYMENT WAS CURRENT I CALLED AND EXPLAINED TO HER THAT I STARTED A NEW JOB AND WOULD BE A LITTLE BIT LATE WITH MY NEXT PAYMENT AND SHE NOTES MY ACCOUNT TO BE REPOSSESSED AND ONE THE FIRST DAY OF MY NEW JOB SENT OUT PEOPLE TO REPOSSESS MY CAR AND THEY BROKE OUT THE WINDOW TO GET THE CAR IF THE WERE AS GOOD A COMPANY AS THEY SAY THEY ARE I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY THEY WOULD BE USING REPO PEOPLE THAT BREAK THE WINDOW TO GET THE CAR..WHO LOVES YOU OKLAHOMA? ITS SURE NOT JOE COOPER. EVERY PERSON I HAVE HAD TO DEAL WITH THERE IS VERY RUDE, THEY DONT EVEN SAY THANK YOU AFTER YOU PAY YOUR CAR PAYMENT ALL OF THE EMPLOYEES NEED A CLASS IN CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN AND I WOULD ADVISE ANYONE THAT IS LOOKING FOR A CAR TO TRY YOUR LUCK SOMEWHERE ELSE THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS!!!!

Was pressured into a vehicle from here and decided within one week that it was not for us and we took the vehicle back in the same exact condition we took it home in. The lady at a front desk accepted the title and keys back and said she would take care of it and next thing I know we have them calling and harrasing my husband saying they are going to garnish his wages for $16000 for the vehicle that is no longer in our possession, that we only had for 7 days, that we paid $200 down for one week of having it, and that was an 04! and then after already speaking to my husband about it, they started calling our references and telling them they can't get a hold of us! Just overall a bad experience with these rude, pushy people! I will warn everyone I can about this awful place!

The dealership is ridiculous!! They're vehicles are extremely over priced I payed 10,000 more than blue book value for my specific one my mistake for that. They make you pay new car prices for crappy cars!! My car is constantly having issues and the warrant it came with doesn't help for any of the [redacted] my AC stopped working a week after I bought it and they won't fix it since its not covered under the warranty. They constantly switch account managers and the new one comes in not knowing any arrangements that I've made with the previous manager which comes with 15 dollar late fee tacked on every time I recently paid a whole mth in advance to get my car payments lined out with my new paycheck dates since I had just came back from maternity leave and they're still tacking on late fees!! Meanwhile an extremely rude account manager. Do you not have customer service skills? Or hold your account manager to a professional standard and advise them on how to speak to us?? Absolutely ridiculous I'm actually considering just letting it go back I'll go find myself a good car with a good company for almost 500 a month not to mention every sales person I've spoke with there is rude!

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/01/04) */
Joe Cooper Easy Credit, JCECA, feels and knows that the customer is the #1 priority and tries to resolve any issues that come up. The customer has had some service issues with the auto but JCECA has paid for all repairs and tows...

associated with the issues. The repairs were not under the warranty that is given to the customer at the time of purchase but JCECA still paid for the repairs to make sure the customer was taken care of. JCECA does not call the customers if the account is not past due but calls start on the customers contractual due date. All employees are expected to treat EVERY customer with respect and are instructed to help out the customer the best way. The customer is free to come into the office at any time to discuss all options that my help her regarding the auto loan.

This company's employees are extremely inconsiderate and they basically have no clue what they are doing. Do not go to this dealership if you are looking for an easy friendly experience when buying a vehicle.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
They did make it right and I am very satisfied with the work and them makeing sure I was taken care of..

The sales people there at Joe Cooper are eager to get you in a car, that they will tell you anything to get you into one. Went in looking for a truck but they did not have anything that was very low in mileage. So I decided to leave when the sales person advised that if we got a car. That we could bring it back in six months and get the truck we wanted. Well needless to say that was all a lie to get a us to buy a vehicle. Went back after 10 months of bi-weekly payments to the original sales person who helped us out and told him I was wanting to see about trading my car back in and get an SUV. He took my info and advised me he would contact me within an hour to see what he could do. Well this was in November of 2014 now end of December still no contact from that salesman. I will refinance through a different lender and lower my payments and pay the car off. My advice is for anyone looking for a car. Steer clear of the Joe Cooper easy credit. Interest is high, they will charge you the price of a new car. Check the tires, body, paint, etc.. The car I purchased had been repainted and now the paint is peeling off from a shoddy paint job. They used the wrong grit of sand paper before spraying the paint. They had used a fine grit which does not allow the paint to adhere to the metal.. 99cents down will bite you in the [redacted]. When all is said and done. The down payment will be tacked on when they get to the final price. Which ends up being the same as buying a brand new car. Don't believe me just drive throughout the city and check the prices of the new cars that are like the ones on their lots ( Joe Coopers Easy Credit ). Please don't give them any business. They will not get mine anymore due to the lies the salesman told me. I am going to tell everybody I can to drive on by. But if you want to buy a used car and pay a new price then Joe Cooper Easy Credit is where you need to go.. Also you don't even have to be late for them to give you a so called courtesy call reminding you about your payment. Expect to make your payment the day before it is due to avoid this reminder. Unhappy Customer here!!

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/02/20) */
Customer has had the vehicle in our service department 4 times for maintenance and each time the customer has NOT been charged for any repair. We have spent over $ 500 on repairs that were NOT covered by the warranty. Customer stated...

that she wanted the timing chain replaced (it is our mechanic's and service manager's opinion that it does not need to be replaced) and that she would pay for the parts and we agreed to absorb the labor costs. Customer then asked that we do not do the repair since it would not result in the car breaking down. We have done all oil changes for free and customer feels that she should not have to pay for any repair on the used auto. Customer has also drive 16K plus miles in the time she has had it and it has not broke down. Customer however is stating that she does not feel safe and we do not want any customer to be in one of our autos not feeling safe. If the customer wants to return the car we will let her do so and mark the account paid by dealer.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/02/25) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
My vehicle has been in their service a lot more than 4 times. I wasn't charged for any of the repairs because they were covered by the warranty but as soon as my warranty was up they then tell me the timing is going out. I opted not to have the timing chain replaced because I don't feel like I should be the one to have to pay for the repairs as I brought this to their attention before purchasing the vehicle. I understand it is a used vehicle but this was a problem from day 1 of purchase. I am paying $13000 for a vehicle that I have only put 16000 miles and it already needs a timing chain.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2015/03/09) */
As stated in the previous response. The repairs that were done to the automobile were not covered by warranty but were paid for by the dealership. We have also offered to have the customer return the car and we will take it back and mark her account paid by dealer.

[redacted] dropped off her car to be fixed. She has a warranty on the car. In order to use the warranty Joe Cooper arranges the warranty inspector to come to inspect the vehicle so we can use the warranty and no money out of pocket to the customer. Joe Cooper's...

Easy Credit Auto has no exact time for the inspector we only know the date therefore we need her car here so that when the inspector showed up it would be here. We explained that to her and to make things right we paid the 250.00 deductable that is required by the customer to pay. Therefore she was not out of pocket any money. We did get her car fixed at no expense to her, we even paid for all the parts that were not covered by her warranty.
