Joe Ford Funeral Home

I had my mom's funeral services handled by Joe Ford. The first thing is I signed a contract with one price but when I called back to tell him about my mom's insurance he said well that's going to be extra money because of a fee for having insurance. I don't remember the exact amount but its was hundreds more than before. My cousin was paying for escorts and the burial for my mom. My cousin met with Joe to pay for those services. While there to pay, he was signing papers, which he thought was for the money he was paying and Joe had him to sign another contract for funeral services that I had already made. Joe was trying to get money from my family member because of his financial standing.When I spoke to my cousin he told me what Joe did and I immediately called him about it and he denied the fact that he was trying to get my cousin to pay the balance on the funeral. I told him I was responsible for that because it is my mother. He told me I would get memorial cards and a death certificate which I haven't received to this day. The day of the funeral the car was 50 minutes late to pick my family and I up. I was late to my mom's funeral. After the funeral as we prepared to leave the church to go to the cemetery for the burial, the funeral car wouldn't start. This was embarrassing and I felt humiliated. We had to go back in the church to wait for another car to come pick us up. This was in July 2013, it was very hot. So we were late to the burial. I called Joe and he told me well these things can happen. I asked him to give me some financial relief from my balance due to this disaster. He said I can take off the price for the limo which is $425.I said is that all because this was not any fault on my part. Well that was that. To add insult to injury, he referred me to the cemetery where my mother is buried??? That cemetery happens to be [redacted]. The one that has been shut down due to burying multiple bodies in one grave.
