This letter is in response to the complaint received by your office oin 07/18/by Mr. *** *** ID as referencedO July 13, 2015, we did indeed perform repairs to correct one of the rear power windows in Mr***'s Chevrolet ***To correct his concern, the master
window switch, located in the inside of the driver's door was replacedMr *** returned the next day with the complaint of a buzzing noise coming from the lower right side of the dashboardWe diagnosed the noise as coming from a bad actuator to the Heating and Air Conditioning systemThe actuator is located inside of the dashboard panelWe had no reason to, nor did we, do any work in or around the dashboard panel that co Id have caused this actuator to failThe replacement of the window switch in no wa had any connection with the failure of the HVAC actuatorTherefore, Joe Holland Chevrolet does not have any responsibility to cover the cost of needed repair or replacement of this actuatorIf you have any questions, or would like to speak with me personally, regarding this matter, please contact my office at ***

This letter is in response to the complaint filed at your office by the above referenced customerPlease be advised of the followingAs stated in her complaint, Ms*** was involved in an accident on January 27, Her vehicle was repaired per the estimate by the Joe Holland Body Shop
Since the original repair was made, she has been back to our Body Shop several timesHer concern of the "Door Ajar" light was not addressed in the original repair and actually was not brought to our attention until May Since that time we have been diligently working to correct her concernWe have made several adjustments on the hatch and even replaced the electronic hatchSince those repairs did not seem to fix the problem, we got both *** *** and *** *** *** (our local *** Dealer) involved, as we felt this repair was better to be serviced by the manufacturer's Dealer*** *** *** measured several places on the vehicle to assure that we had the vehicle reassembled properlyIn accordance with their recommendation, we reworked the repair and made the proper adjustmentsHowever, overnight, with no one around the vehicle, or even in the shop, the light continued to come on We then sent the vehicle back to *** *** *** where they replaced the control module for the rear hatchUnfortunately, the vehicle is still having the same concernSince then the Joe Holland Body Shop has removed the interior trim and checked all wiring to assure that no damage to the wiring harness was possibly overlooked*** *** *** has done this as well*** *** *** even reconnected all the grounds in the hatch and in the left quarter panelCurrently, the vehicle is back at *** *** *** *** has contacted *** and has involved a Representative from *** working with *** *** to solve the problemAs far as Ms***'s desired settlement, we at Joe Holland cannot make the call to total her vehicleThis is a determination made by the *** carrierIf you should have any questions or would like to discuss this matter with me personally, please contact my office at *** (direct) or via email at ***

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
It is unfortunate that the Joe Holland Service Department has made this decision. It would have been better for them to make this right. By refusing to fix the problem, they are ensuring the following:1. I will never bring a vehicle there for any service needs. I will take it elsewhere.2. When it is time to trade the vehicle, or buy another vehicle, I will not choose Joe Holland, I will go elsewhere.3. I will share my experience with all of my friends and family and on social media.It's going to cost Joe Holland far more in the long run than it would have to just fix the problem. Instead of investing a few hundred dollars to keep a happy customer, they are going to lose thousands of dollars and lose what could have been a life-long customer.

This is in response to your letter regarding our follow up response to a complaint filed by Mr [redacted]. We at Joe Holland Chevrolet Inc, stand by our original position on this matter. We do not feel the needed HVAC actuator repairs are a result of the power window repairs we performed on his vehicle.
