I spoke with [redacted] by phone regarding the Dodge truck.  There was a dent and scratches on the door just below an emblem and the tires on the front of the truck had 9 mm of tread the back tires had 4 mm of tread.  The front tires were about 50% the back tires were worn almost to the wear...

bars.  There was no metal showing on any of the tires and they would pass a motor vehicle safety inspection.  I would not describe them as 50-60% tread.  The location of the dent and scratches would make it easy to overlook.  The dealership did not do a good job of describing the truck because my salesman missed the dent and described the tires a 50-60% when really only two of the four tires were at the 50% range. While the customer was at the dealership we did offer to discount the truck $800 to cover the cost of fixing the dent and half of the cost of a set of tires.  We figured $350 for the dent and $450 for half of the cost of a set of tires.  The customer wanted us to fix the dent and put on a brand new set of tires.  We did not reach an agreement so we refunded his deposit. The customer contacted me the next day and again asked me to fix the dent, put new tires on the truck, and honor the original price.  I was not able to make this deal because we had sold the truck to another customer.  I did apologize for the miscommunication and offered to send him $250 to help cover the cost of traveling to the dealership.  The customer declined my offer.  We do try to represent our vehicles accurately and when there is an issue we try to negotiate a fair settlement.  Unfortunately, we could not agree on what a fair settlement was before someone else agreed to buy the truck.

Revdex.com and [redacted], I am issuing a check to Mr. [redacted] for $50 as requested.  I apologize that this issue was not handled by the dealership when you were here for service.  I reviewed the details of your service with my staff and I believe that you are correct.  My staff did...

not handle your situation correctly due primarily to a miscommunication within our staff.  Again, I am sorry for any inconvenience this has caused and I will also include a coupon for a free oil change.  Please let me know if this does not resolve your concerns. Sincerely,[redacted]General Manager
