Joe Tex

Joe Tex Inc, is a family owned business that tends to defraud and extort unexplained fees from its lessees that lease, 18 wheeler trailers and other equipment from them, with the expectation of being reimbursed upon return of specific equipment according to a Lease Agreement signed by both parties July 2017. As a small minority business owner, I signed a Lease Agreement with Joe Tex Xpress Inc that shows me as an employee on their payroll. They dispatch work to me and I'm paid from their payroll as an employee. They continuously take out exorbitant fees and charges from my payroll check that were not included in the my signed Lease Agreement. When asked to explain these fees and charges and reimburse me monies as agreed in our Lease agreement, they presented me with a new lease agreement that the I hadn't seen nor signed. They won't meet or explain anything in person. They've told me one thing on the phone but send me an email contradicting what was verbally stated on the phone. They've been belligerent, condescending, and dismissive. To date my small minority business has approximately $11,000 00 plus in fees, repairs, and unexplained charges. Other minority owners have had the same problems trying to recoup monies owed them. Certain equipment fees that are paid prior to use of equipment is supposed to be reimbursed when equipment is returned according to my Lease Agreement. This doesn't occur in compliance with the Lease Agreement. Joe Tex Inc demands that my drivers and I make illegal runs when we're on "lawfully mandated down time" as required by Trucking Laws. If the we won't make the runs, Joe Tex Inc stops dispatching calls to me causing a work stoppage and loss of revenue. There has been at least one bad accident by an overtired driver at Joe Tex Inc that had serious repercussions. I have had repairs done on their equipment and haven't been reimbursed as stated in the Lease Agreement. The staff at Joe Tex Inc refused to have a one-on-one meeting with me for the sake of clarity and the issuance of reimbursements as stated in the Lease agreement This dispute has existed since April, 2018 and the Lease agreement was signed July, 2017 (9 months of back and forth accomplishing basically nothing). At the first mention of my reimbursements, I was told and shown a new lease Agreement that I had never seen nor signed. The practice of extortion, fraud, and demands to perform work illegally needs to be investigated thoroughly and monies reimbursed to me and others trying to operate through honesty, respect, fairness and business decorum.

Joe Tex Inc refusing to pay after 30 days of invoice date which their account department said will be paid on May 7th 2018, when contacted them today (5/7/18) the broker and their accounting department is playing dumb they said that payment is scheduled to be paid on the 14th of May 2018. When I tried to explain what they had said they will pay on 7th, the accounting department individual by the name of Jackie was very rude and unprofessional did not want to hear what I had to say and hung up the phone
