The move was performed for the customer and was under a standard agreement for moving Standard insurance is only $per pound This is the law; however, it does not cover most cost for damaged goods Damage was not verified prior to move but JMI offered customer
more than insurance covered Customer accepted initially and later refused Therefore, JMI has performed accordingly to its contract customer had agreed to

The customer was aware of the charges of the move from the beginning All charges are based hourly and all items were moved to her garage because the customer left the job site to go to her work The movers did not know where items were to be unloaded All items were loaded into the garage The customers other helpers moved items into her home Movers deny any involvement in scratches on anything customer is claiming They simply did not scratch anything Customer broke moving agreement by leaving moving job site to go to her personal workplace It is very hard to unload someones items into a new dwelling with no guidance from the customer Therefore, JMI has performed according to the contract agreed to by customer and admits no wrong doing

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:Business cannot in good conscience deny all responsibility or admit no wrong doing to the allegations contained in the complaint, especially with regard to the scratches on the newly-finished wood floor in the main living room area. The moving company was tasked with, and paid, to move all my belongings from one residence to another, and because the business did not correctly estimate the size of truck or amount of space required to accomplish this (see original complaint) my contractor was asked to help. He kindly transported all my pilates studio equipment in his small truck; the pilates equipment was placed in the separate studio of my new house, not in the main living room area where the scratches are to be seen to this day. There are no scratches on the floor in the studio area of my house. I am not prepared to spend my time going back and forth with a business of this caliber and would prefer to draw a straight line under the matter and not have to think about or proceed with any further contact with this business It is my hope that people reading this complaint on the Revdex.com website will thoroughly investigate the business practices of Joe's Moving Company before hiring them to do any work This is just one more reminder that with any moving company, the consumer who pays for the service, at the end of the day, will often come out the loser. As of this date (January 30, 2015) I will accept no more emails or any form of contact from Joe's Moving Company.*** ***
