Hi ***, I feel terrible for your lossAfter to talking to [redacted] and [redacted] They told me they did not have near enough blankets to cover EVERY item in the truck They also mentioned that there was a lot of confusion on what items were goingThe movers were asked to rearrange the truck several times [redacted] also advised not to load any more but he was told to keep putting things on top(Bikes and things) We gave away JSM blankets just to helpYou are responsible for supplying ALL of the blankets You are responsible for all owner packed boxesThat move was a "hourly rate" so you knew exactly what the bill was going to beWe have no hidden chargesI estimated 3-hours based on what you told me over the phoneAt the end of the move, [redacted] said you even asked for them to go drop off things at GoodwillJoe's Smooth move only loaded this trailer, we did not transport or unload itWe did not have enough blankets"Anything you want protected, you need a blanket for it" is what I say over the phone I will offer $to cover any damagesI would like to get my JSM moving blankets back before I send any payments ***

Joe's Smooth Move was incompetent in the handling of our household goods for transportI was told to purchase moving blanketsI purchased 45, plus there were other blankets, etcand that should have been more than sufficientThey did not use the tarps and rope I purchasedThey did add a couple of their moving blankets at "no charge"Now you're asking us to pay shipping and return them? We were told to keep themWe didn't ask for themIt was ***'s call to use them The rearranging of the truck was not at our request, but because *** couldn't decide how to pack everything and kept taking things down and rearranging them as items were brought out of the houseRegarding the hourly rate, we anticipated that it might be a little more than quoted, but almost double the cost was ridiculous, because the crew couldn't decide how to pack the truck, couldn't figure out how to get the fridge out of the house, and took so much more time simply due to their incompetencyBecause the truck was loaded improperly, we had to leave things behindIf it was loaded properly those items should have fit; however because we were leaving the state that day we did ask how much it would cost to have them drop off the items at GoodwillThe charge was more than we were willing to pay, so we made other arrangementsRegarding the exercise bike at the end, I told them not to stack it up on top of other things, but it was left there, and strangely enough it didn't cause any damage. Much of the damage was from the front of the truckUsing wardrobe boxes to support furniture was just ridiculous, as they were smashed to less than ft, and the furniture was damaged for numerous reasonsThey weren't even going to shink wrap the white sofa, until I insistedWe also had to pay extra for the additional linear feet of the truck, because they didn't get it loaded with enough room to have the bulkhead put inThe bottom line is that we have extensive damage due to improper loadingVery disappointed in the use of Joe's Smooth Move

The response from Joe's Smooth Move has been disappointing and unprofessionalThrowing accusations at us will do nothing to resolve the problemAsking us to return moving pads that were given to us doesn't even address the complaint or the damages that occurredFor the record, I was a Certified Moving Consultant with the American Moving and Storage Association (AMSA)I worked for a national van line for many years, and part of my job was to develop training to teach workers how to pack for cross country moves I assure you I took even more care with my own belongingsNothing was packed improperlyThe issue here is that our household goods were LOADED improperlyWe did not accuse Joe's Smooth Move of price gougingIt is a fact that loading the truck took much longer than expected due to the inefficiency of the crewI have attached a few photos of some of the damagesThe wardrobe boxes were packed properly---- they are a large, sturdy box with a steel hanging bar for clothingWe filled them, and put padding down the sidesTo have them smashed this much indicates that too much weight was placed on top of themWe had to cut them just to remove our clothing I have moved more than times, and am an expert packerI understand that some damages occur in nearly all cross country relocations; however I've never had extensive damage like this in any previous moveMy antique desk was crushed because it was turned upside down and heavy items placed on the inside drawerAlmost every piece of furniture was damaged in some wayOur new bedroom set wasn't just scratched, there are huge gouges, which make it irreparable. We provided more than new moving pads, and additional blankets, etcThe crew said nothing about needing additional pads; however they told me when I paid them that they gave me some of their old pads at no charge, and other than that, they had enoughI asked if we were expected to return those pads or pay for themThe crew leader said noAlso, we did not tell them to keep loading things on top when the crew advised us to stopIn fact, I asked them to take down that exercise bike that was on top of our glass entertainment centerThey didn'tAs stated previously, we had used Joe's Smooth Move before with good results; however the new "crew" was improperly trained and inept at loading a truck I'm pretty sure that crew is not going to say any of this was their faultWe hired Joe's Smooth Move in good faith to carefully load our belongings, and suffered extensive damages as a resultAgain, we are asking for a full refund, which is minor compared to the damages we sufferedIf they continue to offer no resolution, I do hope the Revdex.com will let others know to be careful in hiring them
