*** *** reply: The complainant called after picking up the car and stated we had not fixed her car I asked her was she still on our lot and she said no I explained that we had repaired the problem she left the car for (as stated on her night drop envelope that she filled
out and signed - her exact words "towed here will not start call and let us know what is wrong and how much it will be to fix it") I explained that if she had started the car when she picked it up that we had repaired the car for what she asked us to do She stated that she has had a check engine light on for some time and assumed that we would automatically check that I explained we had no way to know that she wanted that checked since she did not let us know that I told her we would scan and see what the code was for but any repair would be their responsibility She became agitated and said she had just paid to fix the starting problem and wouldn't pay for any other repair After this statement from her I had her hold on and Mr*** spoke with her.*** *** reply: We checked the car, found that it had a bad starter I called the complainant's husband with an estimate to replace starter He agreed with the estimate and told me to replace the starter When the complainant called back I told her we would scan for codes at no charge but we could not repair the problem the car had that turned the check engine light on for free She said she would not pay for any more repairs The complaint's husband called after that and wanted to know why his wife was upset I told him I had talked to his wife but I did not know why she was upset We talked again about the estimate he agreed to He stated he could have the repairs done for $less, cursed at me several times and hung up.Please see photo copy of original night drop envelope in a seperate email to you
