Review: For starters I spoke with a manager at Joe's on April 24th of 2013 to set up a group table on the day of May 11th 2013. I was told that Joe's Crab Shack does not do reservations but If I would like to set something up I would have to contact [redacted] to move forward. I received her email address and direct line number to interact. I called and called for about a week straight and left messages with no answer to try and set up this reservation since she is the person to go to. For about a week and a half getting close to the actual date [redacted] and I spoke through emails even after I insisted that a telephone call would hammer out what needs to be done. A week and a half passes and we are in a couple days before my sister graduation and still no confirmation on if I have a reservation or not. Graduation takes place and ends and we head to Joes Crabshack in [redacted]. Since I had not heard back from [redacted] I walked up to the hostess and asked for seating for 15 people. I was told the wait would be 2- 2 1/2 hours this was at 4:30. While waiting on the property we notice that people were walking up to the hostess as well saying that they called in with a reservation and immediately being sat. I approach the hostess asking about this says they take reservations but no promises can be kept on times and who will get seating or not. At this point I am furious because there is a lack of communication with me, the establishment, [redacted] , the manager and everyone else. At 8:45, yes 8:45 after other complaints and waiting my sister and our family are finally sat. Service was very ignorant, was not very attentive. We waited so long to be sat, and to also be treated with so much disrespect. My sister was so excited to come here but after being mistreated and belittled she didn't want to make everyone else unhappy by just leaving so we went through with the dinner. We waited long for our meals orders got mixed up and the management and staff did not apologize once about anything. This is the worst.Desired Settlement: I would like some form of gift certificate, or reimbursement for my sister and our party having to experience this on her special day. She left so upset after all of this. And the Restaurant did not seem to care after knowing we waiting 3+ hours just to be mistreated some more. I would like something to be done. This is ridiculous. When someone spends their money somewhere they would like a certain level of respect and service. I have never experienced anything like this before.
