1/9=rec'd new check from business made out to customer. Revdex.com will send check  to customer via USPS certified mail.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Please note that this rejection is necessary to seek clarification on the response provided. The response provided indicates that the business will be providing the full refund requested but that the original check was incorrectly sent to the Revdex.com as payable to the Revdex.com. I am satisfied that the business is providing the full refund requested, however I am seeking some clarification on that refund. First, can the business provide a timeframe on when that refund will be sent in the correct format? Second, will be sent to my home address or to the Revdex.com to be forwarded to me? Finally and most important, the full refund should be sent using a form of secured funds such as a certified check, cashiers check or money order. I am concerned that the business would send a check for the refund to have this complaint closed by the Revdex.com but then place a stop payment prior to me cashing the check causing me to incur additional banking fees and requiring me to go through this proceeding again.
Regards,
[redacted]

Business indicated he was sorry his response had taken so long; he's a one-man show and his computer system is still down. Business said the customer never made it clear he wanted the front spigot he replaced to match the rear spigot. Business uses quality products and guarantees his work and parts....

He would be happy to secure it if it is loose. Business can not refund the full amount of the entire job because he has used quality parts. Since customer has had a different business come out, he is willing to refund $150 with the return of the part(s).

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this is wholly unacceptable.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I would like to address each of the businesses claims in the response and provide some additional clarity on my complaint. First, while I was bothered by the fact that the spigot installed by the business did not match the one removed, that is the minor issue in this complaint. I will refer you to the attached photos taken when another plumber came and properly repaired my home. First, when [redacted] removed the old spigot, he removed more brick and mortar than was required causing irreparable damage to the house. In fact, the spigot that he installed was also not properly anchored to the exterior or interior. It was only screwed into the abundance of latex caulk that he used to fill the hole trying to cover his mistake. Oh and the latex caulk he used was an interior caulk which was unsuitable for exterior applications. Left uncorrected, this would have likely broken causing major flooding in my home. Further, the plumber who repaired this error had to use a larger and more expensive spigot in order to fill the hole that he ([redacted]) made. It also required additional interior anchoring of that pipe in the home to properly secure it to the house. Next, he installed shut-off valves on the inside of the house for my exterior faucets. Not only were the shut-off valves that [redacted] installed both the incorrect size for this application requiring the use of reducers, but one of the valves was an LP gas valve not even rated for this use. Also, when both valves were installed too much cement was applied causing the valves to stick and in the future would most likely fail. I don't question the quality of the parts used nor is that the root of this complaint. The issue was/is improper installation which damaged my home, costing me more money to fix, and improper parts being used. Now, [redacted] mentioned that he guarantees his work. I tried to work with him in that respect and gave him the opportunity to correct the issues, even scheduling an appointment. He failed to show up on the scheduled day and refused to respond to my numerous phone calls and voicemails. This cost me a vacation day while waiting for him to show up. A guarantee means absolutely nothing if the business providing the guarantee cannot be trusted to follow-through. He mentioned in his response that he would refund a partial amount since he used quality parts and he wanted those parts returned. He may want to consider that I am neither requesting him to compensate me for my lost vacation time nor am I asking that he pay any portion of the amount I paid another plumber to try and correct the damage that he caused to my home. To be clear, nothing less than a full refund of the $340 is acceptable.
