In October, our company paved a small project for Mr [redacted] 's mother A few days after completion, I received a call from Mr [redacted] stating that our company had apparently put several dents in a panel on his mother's garage.I forwarded the photos to the crew and discussed with them whether we had made the dents and if so....who made them We have a policy in our company that regardless of the reason...if any damage is caused to personal property during an installation, it must be reported to the office immediately Since the staff has no monetary obligation with regards to damage repairs, there is no reason for them not to provide me the details The photos were discussed with all crew members None of them acknowledged having seen the dents or having done the damage In reviewing the photos, it was obvious that there are a series of dents All at different heights We don't have any piece of equipment that could have made dents on separate heights It was their opinion that the dents could have been made by a dump truck tail gate, most likely when the stone was installed We did not install the stone and our dump truck hauling asphalt would not have gotten within 20' of the garage.Unfortunately, we did not take before and after photos Therefore, we have a "he said", "she said" situation My crew feels that the dents were most likely there when we got there and done by another contractor However, because we did not take photos, I guess I can't prove that I have instructed Mr [redacted] to email me an invoice for the repairs and I will submit it to my insurance for payment As of yet, I have not heard anything from him
