We will need the address that he would like it shipped to. Joe P[redacted] Joes Transmission & Differential Service

We still hav e mr [redacted] parking brake and want to send it back to him . we need a current shipping address so we may get it back to him.Thank YouJoe P[redacted]Joes Transmission & Differential Service

In response to joes explantion as to what had taken place, some things need to be clarified. First I have no claim or complant as to how the first transfer case issue was handled amd I am aware I recieved my deposit back on the first issue occuring 11-11-14. second I never stated that I purchased or gave joes any money for the second issue occuring 12-21-14. I had used a different company to get a transfer case as joes were apperently out of the shop for holidays. when I did finally recieve a call back on 1-12-14 from joes I explaned what had happened and asked for a componsation for the transfer case I bought from merchant automative. nothing was ever mentioned about me sending the defective unit back for inspection, I was simply told it had no warrenty and it is my problem not theirs. after more discussion and trying to reason with [redacted]                (employee I spoke with) I was still getting same response as to they wouldnt warrenty the second one. I had asked [redacted] numerous times about the first transfer case that was defective and if they ever figured out what had caused the problem. only response was he knew it was bad from moving the shifting mechanism but they hadnt had time to look at it. I would think after a unit is found defective the company would want to find out the reasons it went bad as soon as possible to prevent any further units from having the same result... Also the defective transfer case is still in my possesion. I was never asked to send it to them and didnt want to pay to have it shipped to joes not knowing if they would warrenty it or not. [redacted] will still credit me my core charge if joes continue to refuse warrenty on their product. I would be more then happy to send the transfer case back to joes with the understanding shipping from here to them is covered and once they recieve the unit I get full refund from what I paid [redacted] in the amount of 2,428.00 on 12-22-14. I am willing to accept the fact they cant cover the rental car, motel, lost time, headaches ext. but the defective unit itself should still be covered.   I would also like to add since I installed the transfer case from [redacted] on 12-26-14 I have put close to 6500 miles on the truck without one fault, nearly seven times the amount of miles then the transfer case from joes had before it quit working.

You and Joe's are obviously ripoff's. I was supposed to get the parts I paid for back even though I returned them. As it now appears you have removed Joes Transmission & Differential from your membership rolls. Just great! I still have not been able to get "joe's " [redacted] to speak with me as he hides behind his is or just does not answer!          [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Regards,
[redacted]

On 11/07 2013 Mr [redacted] purchased a New GM ZF 6 Speed Transmission and a rebuilt NP 261XHD Transfer case. Invoice #1170893. The rebuilt transfer case came with a 1 yr unlimited miles Warranty. Soon after his warranty expired he called told us the transfer case went out and he needed one...

immediately shipped out and was told according to out warranty policy we needed to receive his old unit to determine if it indeed was a defective unit. Mr [redacted] was told that a Deposit was required in order to ship another transfer case. On 11/11/2014 Mr [redacted] did give us a deposit in the amount of $1268.00 Invoice # [redacted] The Replacement unit was shipped on 11/12/14. It was received 11/17/2014. We did receive Mr [redacted]'s original transfer case and on 11/25/2014 he was refunded the $1268.00 Deposit via Pay Pal. At some point over the Christmas to New year's Holiday Mr [redacted] Did Try to contact us We were however in fact Closed during this time. As soon as we resumed normal business hours we did in fact contact Mr [redacted] He advised us that he had a problem and that he wanted us to send him a check for his expenses. Mr [redacted] was told this is not our warranty policy. We have never received the supposedly defective unit to insure that it is one of our units. Or to inspect it to see why it may have failed. We certainly would not have sent out a replacement transfer case that we knew would fail as insinuated by Mr [redacted]. We did quit taking calls from Mr [redacted] after he became very vulgar and abusive with our employee who did answer his calls when no one else was available to take them. Our warranty clearly states that we do not cover any any of the things that Mr [redacted] wants compensated for. We have attatched a copy of our warranty with this response along with a copy of his original invoice, and also the warranty deposit invoice and that credit card receipt. We have also sent a copy of the Refund that we did through Pal Pal For his warranty deposit. In his complaint Mr [redacted] never mentions that his warranty deposit was refunded. This was NOT another purchase.

In regards to case #[redacted], We (Joes Transmission) covered the first unit that failed when we sent a second unit to replace it even though it was out of warranty. So we were not liable for the first unit because it was out of warranty. And the second unit we sent, we returned the money deposit for it back to the customer. We do not cover other expenses incurred such as towing, labor, etc. We are not liable for the expense of the transfer case bought from [redacted] We will not warranty the second unit because the money was returned to Mr. [redacted] he put down as a deposit on the replacement unit. Again...The first unit was out of warranty, we sent 2nd unit, even though the warranty was expired. When we received the 1st unit back, we refunded Mr. [redacted] the deposit he put down on the 2nd unit so there is no warranty on the 2nd unit. Thank you [redacted] Joes Transmission

It's clearly marked on the part I returned. Oggletrees! But since they are obviously still stalling and ignoring this:Let's try this address: [redacted]  [redacted].Or has the time to make good expired as well????? JOE's is a [redacted] in my book!!!!!!!!!!!~!!~ Indicated by the continued complaints from your area as well as all over. Just wondering how many complaints gets you kicked out of your cover operation, Revdex.com?If you can't tell this has [redacted] me off royally!

Attached are the original invoice and back with return/warranty and the payment recipt. Also a copy of letter sent via my bank in response to my claim indicating the time lapse between me receiving the part and being unable to return because of NO ONE taking my calls for 63 days!...

Clearly fraud.

Review: Took my g56 transmission to have work done. Ended up that transmission needed rebuilt

Paid $3,000 for the work on December 2015 . Joes transmission offers a 1 year unlimited mile warranty for rebuilt transmissions... May 2016 I started having transmission issues so I took my truck to them to have the transmission looked at a month later they contacted my via voicemail saying Joe has decided he can not warranty the transmission due to the damage In the transmission..Desired Settlement: I want joes transmission to refund me my $3000 that I originally paid to have my transmission rebuilt.. I never would have had them do the work if they want to take the warranty away.

Complaint ID # [redacted] Mr. [redacted] Brought his transmission to us in December 2015 with a twisted and snapped input shaft. When we asked him how this happened we were told 700 + Horsepower. When we dissembled it was found that his front transmission housing was also broken . This is a common problem with trucks that are producing more than stock horsepower. We rebuilt Mr [redacted]s transmission with a New front housing and he picked it up 12/21/2015. At this time Mr. [redacted] was advised that these transmissions are built to stock factory specifications and will not stand up very well to trucks with increased horsepower.

Mr. [redacted] contacted us in early June 2016 he said his transmission was making a crunchy noise. We advised him to bring us the truck. Which he brought to us on a trailer. Once the transmission was removed from the truck and disassembled it was discovered that 6th gear was missing 4 teeth in a row broken off at the root of the teeth. This usually indicates some form of shock load or abuse. We also discovered the input that we installed was twisted. Another indication of shock or abuse.

We contacted Mr [redacted] and advised him that we are not able to cover this damage under our warranty due to the increased horsepower and visible signs of abuse. He was advised it was going to cost $1200.00 in parts to repair his transmission. And another $300.00 in labor to remove and reinstall his transmission. We do not feel that his transmission failure was due in any way to our parts or our workmanship. While we do offer a 1 year unlimited miles warranty it is in no way an unconditional warranty. As our warranty clearly states “We cannot warranty a unit if it is abused due to overloading, shocking, improper lubricant or lack of lubricant”

Mr [redacted] authorized us to repair his transmission for the $1500.00. One day after speaking with Mr [redacted] we received a call from someone who claimed to be his uncle, we have no way of verifying that this was indeed a relative or not as the gentleman never gave his name. He was told the same thing it is not a unconditional warranty. This gentleman did inform us that he would be contacting the Revdex.com and also another relative who is an attorney . At this time we ceased any work on Mr [redacted]s truck .

Our final determination is that the damage to this transmission are not defective parts or workmanship. But over torqueing and shock load to the unit. This kind of abuse is clearly not covered by our warranty.

Review: I had ordered rebuilt transfer case and the first one went out after ten months of use. They warrentyed and sent another rebuilt same price as original. This case lasted six weeks and again went out leaving me stranded in [redacted] had to rent car for over a week and ordered transfer case from different company after I tried to get ahold of joes for hours and days. Finally got a call from [redacted] at joes 30 days after issue had started and quote told me no warranty was offered and it is my problem not theirs and he won't do anything and didn't try to stand behind their product one bit. Tried reasoning and he hung up. Have tried to reach him for several days all day long with no answer or return call. I can't understand how a company like this can still be in business. As of now I am out 3000 dollars from new transfer case purchase, overnight shipping, rental car, and no core refund.Desired Settlement: They cover cost of transfer case, shipping, and rental car. And apologize for the amount of sleep I have lost trying to resolve this very stressful and irritating issue.

Review: I have nv5600 transmission that I had go out on me so I bought a remanufactured transmission through Joes transmission. The transmission came with a 1year warranty. my first transmission I bought from them on 9-23-12 lasted about until about 6-18-13. I was pulling a 20 foot aluminum boat approx 2000lbs. I had to practically beg and call and call for them to work with me on it. It was eventually replaced and I had it installed on July 5th 2013. Both times I had to pay approx 500 to have it dropped and installed. I drove the truck for 2-3 weeks and again while pulling my boat the transmission went out again. I had called and called and left messages after messages. I had been hung up on and treated very unprofessional. [redacted] at Joes transmission had told me to have it dropped he will send a truck to pick it up. Again I paid 500$ and it has been out of the truck and I've called and called to tell him and he returns no calls and never answers. this is the second transmission in less than a year that I've had through them. Now im stuck with no truck, 500$ less again, and a transmission just sitting around. I use my truck as a source of income and without it I'm loosing more money.Desired Settlement: I would like my transmission to be replaced with a new one, under warranty. I would also like to be reimbursed for the fees I had to pay to have it tore out and put in. I will have the receipts for both times.

Response:

Mr. [redacted] purchased a transmission from us {Joes Transmission) on 9-23-2012. In mid-June of 2013 we were contacted about a problem with the transmission and proceeded to get the unit shipped back to us. We dis-assembled the transmission and found the mainshaft, a 2(two) inch round piece of hardened steel, was snapped cleanly as from a shock load. (Mr. [redacted] original transmission which we received in exchange (his core) for this transmission was in exactly the same condition). We knew from 25 years experience, this condition is caused by a shock load which is not an everyday occurance nor is it normal wear and tear. WE COVERED THE ISSUE REGARDLESS, PAID ALL SHIPPING EXPENSES AND RETURNED IT TO HIM. We are now contacted again by Mr. [redacted] for the same issue and upon further investigation have seen videos of the truck being abused in numerous ways (burn outs, snatching gears, truck pulling competitions, etc.) We have not denied Mr. [redacted] the ability to return the transmission again to us for repair but have notified him that until we investigate the failure, it may not be covered under warranty according to our written warranty policy. Said pictures and videos are accessible through me, [redacted], Joes Transmission.

Review: I own a 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 and broke down in August 2015 while driving thru **. I ordered a replacemet transmission from Joe's Transmission for $4,000 with $1,000 to be refunded once they received my broken transmission (they would rebuild it and sell it). They called this the "core refund deposit." They were super quick in shipment and receiving the broken transmission, however, not in the refund. It took over 8 weeks of frequent calls per week to multiple numbers to get the refund. In November of the same year, I started having issues with the new transmission (has a one year unlimited mileage warranty), and again tried to call the multiple numbers I had. I left multiple messages with multiple employees and on multiple voicemails, but was unable to speak with someone until early January. When I finally spoke with someone, they agreed to look at and fix the problem if it was a defect in the product. I had a local diesel certified dealership take out the transmission and ship to Joe's as the trunk was unable to make the drive from [redacted]. They were quick to receive, repair, and ship out the fixed transmission and admitted that it was a defect in the product. When speaking with them on the phone regarding receiving compensation for the labor cost, they said they "would work something out." Again, the truck was not driveble so I was unable to take it to them for repairs. It is now 7 weeks later, and I am once again playing phone tag. I have left daily messages at each number with no response.Desired Settlement: Reimbursement of all labor charges from the diesel certified mechanic who took out the broken transmission, shipped, and replaced transmission. Cost of $840 for 7 hours labor at $120 hr

Response:

Complaint ID # [redacted] The Rebuilt dodge G-5S transmission was purchased on 08/25/2015 . Mr. [redacted] did contact us in November 2015 regarding having issues with his gear shift knob vibrating. We advised him to have the shift tower checked as this tower has detents built into it. We did not hear from Mr. [redacted] again until Late December 2015. At that time we were told that shifter was ok and the problem must be internal. Mr. [redacted] was advised that the transmission must be returned to us to determine the cause of his problem. He advised Us that he had found a repair shop that would repair his transmission if we paid the bill. Our warranty clearly states that we will not pay for nor authorize any outside repairs. On January 7 2015 we were advised that the transmission was ready to be returned to us. A truck was dispatched by us to pick the transmission up even though our warranty clearly states that it is to be shipped to us freight prepaid along with a copy of the original invoice. We paid for the shipping. Upon arrival at our shop the transmission was disassembled and inspected. We found that the overdrive gear (6 gear) had teeth missing in a manner to suggest that the driver was towing a heavy trailer in overdrive. If the vehicles owner's manual was consulted it advises to not tow in overdrive. While our warranty does not generally cover such damage for the sake of good customer relations we elected to repair Mr. [redacted]'s transmission at no charge to him for the repair or the shipping both ways. Mr. [redacted] repeatedly asked about paying his labor bill and was told we are not liable for any labor charges according to our warranty. We at Joes Transmission & Differential believe that by both paying shipping both ways and repairing his transmission at no charge we have done more than enough to cover a problem that should not have been covered by our warranty to begin with.
