Joey's Exteriors Reviews (9)

I am rejecting this response because: I have attached several items with regards to our claim with ***’s Exteriors 1- The estimate which [redacted] provided us 2- A photo from ‘***’s Exteriors’ website, which my wife referenced in her meeting with Mr [redacted] as they walked our home 3- Photo of our home and the lights which were actually installed on our home I have additional photos to prove the number installed but could not upload them due to the constraints of your website 4- A copy of one of Mr***’s last emails to me When my wife originally met with Mr [redacted] she showed him a picture(attached) which is from his own website and requested lights be placed on top of the house like the picture Mr*** assured her it would be no problem to install lights this way (as suspected, since his website advertised installations such as this) and his estimate reflected the inclusion of these lights Line #on Mr***’s estimate, the house lights called for boxes of lights which equates to lights @ lights per box As the pictures of our home indicate, we did not receive lights on top of the house as promised and the number of lights we did receive was less than or boxes Mr*** owes us for boxes of lights x $10/box or $ Line #on his estimate included strings of lights in the landscape which were supposed to have included wrapping the tree trunks, this was not done as agreed, but we did receive the strings of lights as promised Line #calls for cords and clips (min) for $As shown in the photos, the clips are for each light on the house of which we received less than We received (2) cords which were inadequate for the lights installed(explained below) and I suspect that additional lights would have meant at least one more cord Therefore we were missing (2) of the (4) cords required and clips of the estimated Mr [redacted] owes us for cords and clips or $ Line #calls for the labor to install all the lights at $ Of that amount we received approximately 2/3rds of what he agreed toI believe Mr [redacted] also owes $for the labor he did not performWe previously did not include this in our claim but feel it should be included now The first night after the lights were installed they did not come on at all My wife called Mr [redacted] requesting repair and he informed her that he was very busy and we would have to wait until he completed installations on other homes I called Mr [redacted] and pressed him for a date sooner to repair the lights He then promised me someone would come “late” that night to repair the lightsWe never saw anyone show up and the next morning I called Mr [redacted] again and asked why He told me someone did show up but couldn’t fix the lights because they needed a special tool and he would send them out again “late that night” to finish the repair I did not believe Mr [redacted] and felt I was getting the run around and pressed him to send someone immediately to repair the lights that morning(As an aside Mr [redacted] promised me he wasn’t giving me the “run-around”, and that “if he were, he wouldn’t be answering his phone”..) He finally agreed to send a man who was able to fix the lights in a matter of minutes as it was a blown fuse in the string of lights themselves which required no special toolsAlso, the man who did the repair knew nothing of any request to come by late the night before After further examination of the strings of lights on the shrubs, the warning labels indicated that no more than strings of lights (w) should be attached in a single run, however they had been attached in a run of strings (296w) That would explain why the fuse blew as well as why it popped GFI outlets in our house even after [redacted] came and supposedly fixed the problem There should have been at least (1) more cord included in the installation and certainly would have required (2) more for the additional lights promised in his estimate This brings up concerns about what type of safety was compromised in this disregard for overloading circuits Mr [redacted] has been rude, condescending and obnoxious He has lied to me and my wife, called us names, hung up on us both and attempted to bully us out of making a legitimate claim against his company He refused to listen to reasonable discussion over why we believed we deserved a refund and hung up on me and that is when I decided to contact the Revdex.com I have attached one of the last emails Mr [redacted] sent me as proof Notice he is still denying that he charged me $for clips and cords, even though it very clearly shows that he did in his estimate ***’s Exteriors owes us a total of $ – $of lights, $of cords and clips, and $worth of labor Regards, [redacted]

The Customer is incorrect in regards to the estimate that was given the break down is as follows: box of Clights at $120.00, boxes of mini lights at $70.00, extension cords and clips $flat rate for labor and installation $and a $removal fee Our foremen made the decision to not put the remaining boxes up to avoid damaging the shingles on the roof We have advised the customer we will be happy to reimburse him for that a check for $will be sent on Tuesday to this customer I have attempted to resolve this with the customer but he has unreasonable expectations At this time we consider this matter closed

I am rejecting this response because:
While a check for $was received, the full amount requested was not, and we are still not satisfied. This company has horrible business practices and ethics. We do not wish anyone else to fall prey to his deceptive practices
