Our company has been using Johan's services for several years. We rehab 5 to 10 homes per year and Johan does all of our hardwood floors and stairs. He is a highly skilled professional. His new installations and resanding of old floors are flawless. One time we were under a fast deadline to finish a house and he worked all day and thru the night to finish a job for us.
Although we try to finish the hardwood floors near the end of our rehab projects we have occasionally had a furniture stager or appliance delivery person scratch a newly finished floor. Johan has done an incredible job of repairing such problems.

We are disappointed for a couple of reasons:
1. The color is way off. We asked for provincial or something that matched the existing woodwork. And it's just too dark.
2. Because of this difference, we are forced to change the doors and baseboards/trim to white. We were planning to keep the existing woodwork and doors. It's just too much of a big difference and it clashes.
In the future, I would have a written contract with this company and have him do a sample before he does the whole floor. Also I would have him acclimate the wood.
Maybe it's partly my fault and I shouldn't have paid in full but I thought after the varnish the color would match better and it just didn't.
Another reason we didn't want the darker wood was because you can see the dust more.
Johan did have a higher quote than the other company, but he was highly recommended and that's why we went with him.
At least one threshold is rough like it wasn't sanded.
On a positive note, he was very friendly and arrived on time to the worksite.

We actually stayed in the house while he was sanding. There was very little dust and be did a great cleaning job. He was extremely knowledgeable, and professional, very friendly and very good at what they do. I had several estimates and went with Johan Hardwood flooring because not only was the price competitive, but he took the time to go over the process, the products and my options more than anyone else. My floors turned out AMAZING, better than what I expected. I am more than satisfied with their work, I highly recommend this company for all jobs whether large or small.

Johan refinished our existing oak, natural finish floors. Our floors were in pretty bad shape before, as all of the polyurethane had worn off, and there were scratches and even some water marks. In one day, he completed the project. He was on time and very reasonably priced. The floors now look brand new, and we couldn't be happier. Johan is very friendly, honest and good at what he does. I will definitely use his services again, and recommend him to friends.
