We are disappointed for a couple of reasons: The color is way offWe asked for provincial or something that matched the existing woodworkAnd it's just too dark Because of this difference, we are forced to change the doors and baseboards/trim to white We were planning to keep the existing woodwork and doorsIt's just too much of a big difference and it clashes In the future, I would have a written contract with this company and have him do a sample before he does the whole floorAlso I would have him acclimate the wood Maybe it's partly my fault and I shouldn't have paid in full but I thought after the varnish the color would match better and it just didn't Another reason we didn't want the darker wood was because you can see the dust more Johan did have a higher quote than the other company, but he was highly recommended and that's why we went with him At least one threshold is rough like it wasn't sanded On a positive note, he was very friendly and arrived on time to the worksite
