Johansen & Anderson just installed a new furnace and AC unit for my homeFrom start to finish the customer service was extraordinary! The install was a long job due to older equipment being replaced and the installers worked incredibly hard, were exceptionally nice, and did a great jobI am really happy I chose them to do the work, I will definitely refer friends and family to this company!

Thank you for taking my call regarding the complaint filed against us...

Customer called us for problems with their boiler on 1/20/2014. Customer was quoted $130 trip charge and $74 per half hour. Customer agreed to have us come out. Upon arrival, customer explained to our technician that they purchased the house as it was foreclosed upon and did not think the boiler was running correctly. The boiler also heats the domestic hot water. Upon arriving, our technician noticed that the boiler had some serious wiring issues. After spending some time diagnosing the problem, rewired the sensors and changed the temperature setting. He recommended all the thermostat batteries be changed, and also recommended to the customer if the floor heat wasn't keeping up that we could add a system sensor. (Please see our W.O. XXXXXX). Customer signed the work order and paid with a check from Coast to Coast Construction Services, Inc. for $564.00.
On January 28th, the customer called and said they didn't have domestic hot water. We informed the customer that since we were just out there on the 20th, we would not charge them a trip charge, just the regular labor rates. Our technician checked the heat settings, and also cleaned the flame sensor and the spark rod. Our technician told the customer the mixing valve was not working properly. (W.O. # XXXXXX) Customer said they would try to get one on their own. Customer signed the work order and our technician collected a check for $333.00 from Coast to Coast Construction services, Inc.
On February 4, 2014 we received a NSF notice from our bank stating the check we deposited for $564.00 was NSF. Called the customer, did not get a response. On February 10, 2014 I received another notice from our bank, this time stating the check for $333.00 also was NSF. After trying to get a hold of the customer and leaving numerous messages, turned the NSF checks over to the States Attorney's office on 3/11/14.
If the customer was having problems after we did the work, how come they didn't call us? Why didn't they return our calls about the NSF checks?
We have been in business for over 67 years and we stand behind our work. Our reputation is important to us and we would of addressed their issues if they would of called us. But they never did after the second call.

The unit itself does a great job, it replaced a [redacted] and the method of operation is so much quitter. Now onto what is a real let down for me, the installation of the unit. Johansen and Anderson had to be called back out to redo the job and make several corrections, Even after having these corrections made it still isn't a good job. I'm still not thrilled with the redo even after the second trip out.
