This man, [redacted], a sub contractor in Elk River, mn. rented a house to us that was not legal to rent, would not fix a mouse problem and other issues with this house. We called a city inspector to do an inspection on this house, he did ([redacted]) the head inspector, who normally does only commercial bldgs if inspects at all. We were told the house was not fit to live in and we had to move. We scrambled and scrapped and managed to move. Now the bldg inspector says nothing is wrong with the house and we simply moved because it was not legal to rent it. We then contacted the city admin. [redacted] who sent us the joke of a report via email. It says nothing. The landlord, [redacted] w. now sent us a bill for $1,543.54 to replace 50 year old carpet, a window we did not break and some other false repairs. This man is just mad because we didn't just put up with his lies and lack of repairing anything. The city is backing him([redacted] w.) and lying about it all. I am going to call the media and expose these people for the crooked people they are. I can't afford an attorney as I am out on short term disability and my girlfriend is working full time. I am not sure what can be done but these people need to be stopped. Thanks for your time. [redacted]
