John Casablancas Modeling & Career Center Reviews (%countItem)

This center is a ***!!! They call you setting an audition. they take you couple of head shoots. You also have to walk on a runway and read a couple of sentences out loud. they tell you they gonna call you if you are accepted to sign a contract. they never say anything .about money. they make you thing that is free... then when you get there for your next " interview" they start making a weird explanation about your opportunities and how you have to take the classes the offer... telling you the gonna cover part of the cost(LIE). They demand you ti pay 2000 dollars at that moment or otherwise you won't be working with company. they basically force everybody to pay that amount. That's the DIRTY way that JOHN CASABLANCA has to play with kids dreams, making them think they will be famous and help them with their career. they are just looking for money... that's the reason why they want you to pay that money the first da, that way they that money secure. DONT GO TO JOHN CASABLANCA OR TAKE YOUR KID. You will never get your money back if you cancel the contract.

This company ripped me off of $247.00. I moved from North Carolina to California. In the process I missed some classes and my account was sent to collections. After getting settled in California, I called the NC location and paid off my balance so I can finish the classes in California. After A TON of emails and phone calls for a year and a half, corporate has refused to transfer me. The Raleigh location and San Jose location has tried numerous times. I highly recommend the JC centers, but not the JC program. Corporate has been non-cooperative. They jipped me of my money. They do not care about the students, you are just another number. I can not believe they ripped me off and they are getting away with it.

John Casablancas Modeling & Career Center Response • Feb 06, 2019

Dear Sirs or Madam:

We wish to respond to your letter dated January 18, 2019 that we received on January 24, 2019 regarding the above captioned customer. We have researched the circumstances that we believe led to this complaint and would like to resolve this amicably.

*** enrolled in her 30-week Female Modeling Program at our Raleigh, North Carolina location on September 26, 2015. Her signed Retail Installment Contract called for weekly payments of $67 until paid in full. *** made irregular payments of multiples of $67 through March 12, 2016 and her account was either paid ahead or slightly in arrears through March 26, 2016. She then failed to make any payments until October 1, 2016, at which time she made 4 payments that reduced her balance to $263.49. She then stopped making payments again.

*** was contacted multiple times by mail and by phone about her delinquent account and since she failed to make any further payments, her account was turned over to a collection agency on July 3, 2017. She finally paid off her account on November 1, 2017.

Her request to transfer to the San Jose location was held up due to the fact she was required to reimburse us for the fees charged by the collection agency for collecting her account. I have circled the language that describes this on the enclosed copy of her Retail Installment Contract. That amount came to $78.90. I found several internal emails about this, but I cannot find evidence that anyone ever notified Ms. Alvarez that that was the reason her transfer request was held up. That is our fault.

At this point we contend she owes us $78.90 and she contends we owe her $247.00. We are not clear how she determined this amount, but we are more interested in resolving this matter. We are willing to forego the $78.90 balance due and we are willing to put through the transfer to allow her to complete her classes in San Jose. We believe this to be more than fair and will await your response to let us know if we should proceed with the transfer.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need additional information.
