John D [redacted] was hired to fix my central air conditioning unit. After finishing half of the job, installing an air conditioning unit (I later found out it cost $900), I paid him the $5000 for the cost of the job. After being strung along with promises to finish the job, I never saw John D [redacted] or my money again.

John D[redacted] was hired to fix my central air conditioning unit. Review: My parents 2 years ago used DeSantis Heating, Cooling and Burner Service to replace their Central Air Conditioning Unit, and then had the company replace their Boiler, both around the same time 2 years ago. This year, before the winter, they noticed and issue with the boiler. Come to find out, they had to replace the whole thing again because there were defects and the job was not properly done by health and safety standards. Fast forward to summer time approaching and now they find themselves in the same position. They have to pay to replace a Central AC unit just 2 years old because wrong wiring was used, and once again health and safety standards were not met. My parents have now paid double for these things because after 2 years (when these types of jobs should last years and years) nothing is functional. The gentlemen and company now remedying this situation has stated that we are not the first house he has had to fix problems cause by John DeSantis. I tried to find a license for John DeSantis and/or DeSantis Heating, Cooling, and Burner Service, but could not find anything. I would like to state on record that this man and his business should be not only reprimanded, but he should not be able to service and or repair any type of heating and cooling system in the United States of America. I also feel that not only my parents, but all the families affected by his irresponsible and unprofessional work should receive, if not a full refund of what was paid to DeSantis, but at least a refund for all costs to repair his disgraceful work.Desired Settlement: I feel that not only my parents, but all the families affected by his irresponsible and unprofessional work should receive, if not a full refund of what was paid to DeSantis, but at least a refund for all costs to repair his disgraceful work.

Review: My air conditional break down on 8/*/2015. I find out due to rat nest, wires damaged. I called John at Desantis heating& cooling service. In the phone, he said I need $4000 to repair, because compressor damage. he gave this estimate in the phone without inspection. Next day he came over inspect unit for about 10 minute. He then informed that unit needs replacement, charge me $7236. the service charge is $150. He did not even check what is problem. Two days later, I ask my insurance, Amica, to send an inspection to double check for insurance purpose. His finding? Capacitor is broken. It costs $60. I fix the problem. Now air condition work just fine.Desired Settlement: Refund $150 plus charges for emotional damage. Right the wrongs for this kind of dishonored practice.
