RevDex.com:my husband reports that MrDonohue came today to repair the driveway cracks I really did not want to send a complaint to the Revdex.com - I only did so because I had made a # of prior requests regarding the cracks MrDonohue is a nice individual and I am sure he is very busy I was concerned that over time the cracks would worsen if they were not repaired soon Thank you!

To Whom it may concernThis person is very tough to deal with I'll be happy to fix it when the weather is good as everyone can see we've had record rain fall so as soon as I have work to do in his area I will be more then happy to fix the cracked edges on his driveway as I told him several
times I would He was being very rude and I did tell him I will fix it when I *** can! I can't stop the weather

BUYER BEWARE: This is the MOST unprofessional company I have come in contact withThe year warranty is a farceDonohue Paving paved our driveway in June stating that we had a year warrantyIn June 2016, the owner’s son came by our house and offered to do sealing and touch ups since it had been a year and he was in the areaThe pricing he gave us for sealing was $(which is about to times the cost of other qualified pavers’ quotes)We had found some settling in places, cracks showing and the edges falling apart, all what should be covered by our warrantyOver the next few months, all we got was the run aroundEvery time we talked to him, John Donohue, the owner, would say that he would come out in the next few days and take a look But he never showed up This went on for a number of times over a number of weeks - we would talk to him, he’d say he would show, but never did and never called Finally after a couple months we got him to come out and look at the driveway in September When he came out, MrDonohue admitted that there were a few places that needed some touching up and said that he would be out in the next two weeks to address the issuesThree weeks later we called MrDonohue again asking when he was coming, and he again stated he would be out the following weekHe didn’t show up, so we called him again and he said he would be out that dayHe didn’t show up again, and now he stopped answering the phone when we call We have finally given up!
A year warranty means nothing if you can’t get the company to come out and fix the issuesIt is also very frustrating how much time we wasted on calling him and having him repeatedly say he was going to fix it when he apparently had no intention of ever fixing itBusiness owners should not make promises to your customers if they do not intend to honor them

I did not do any work for this lady but I did go there fix the problems she had then gave her all of the money she was charged by other person She said she was gonna withdraw complaintsand case closed

I am rejecting this response because:
He is not fixing the problem.  Our basketball hoop was fully functional.  I have many witnesses in the neighborhood who can attest to that.  After Mr Donohue's company moved it, the front of the rim was dented (due to it apparently slamming into the ground), and worse, the brackets behind the backboard were broken (making it unusable).Re: his son's credibility, his son also assured me that his Father would be back the following week to fix the cracks/dips in our driveway on the extension that they built the year prior.  It's now been months, and nobody has been out here.I am most disappointed that they broke my son's portable hoop, and anything less than them taking responsibility (with a full and comparable replacement) is unacceptable.

I will be more than happy to fix the cracking on the asphalt I will take care of it asap thank you John Donohue owner.

I hired 'John Donohue Asphalt' to pave my driveway.
My only concern, which I mentioned to the owner and employees before hand, was that when done, please make sure water will not drain back to my garage. I was assured when they pave driveways, they create a crown down the middle forcing water to flow to the sides and not back to the garage.
The day after paving, I decided to test the drainage with a hose and watched water ponding in front of the garage. I immediately called the owner and before I got done explaining the problem, he interrupted me angrily and said "well that was a dumb thing to do; you should've done your water test while I had my expensive machinary sitting there". He kept yelling and wouldn't let me get a word in, and when done, he hung up. In shock, I called back and when it went to VM, I calmly left a msg to call me back. He called back and same scenario. He texted me later saying that he'll stop by and never did. I sent an email which also went unanswered...
Besides the unprofessional behavior, I'm shocked how a contractor would expect a customer to back check his work. Additionally, not honoring their work nor the warranty stated on the contract. I paid hard earned money for their work...
I waited 2 weeks & hired 'Collegiate Sealers & Paving' to come out and take out their work & do it right. They water tested before they left & everything was perfect.
I'm amazed on how some contractors stay in business ???

stand behind him he is a very honest young man that being said I will refund the sealcoat job just to resolve this but that's what I'm willing to do. at this point it's a his word against my son thank you sorry this happened but it did have a good day. John.

Review: The residential driveway located at our address was re-paved in the evening on June 18, 2014. The quality finish is less than par with several places which are rough and inconsistent. The asphalt is coarse and was not applied evenly. There are places in the asphalt where it is already beginning to wash away. There are cracks developing in places, and the asphalt application was not applied consistently. I have attempted to contact John Donohoe several times throughout the past weeks, and he has indicated he would stop by and look at the driveway for repair. This has not been done, nor has he called me to reschedule or ask for a convenient time to meet. On Friday, June 25, I attempted contact once more via text message and informed him that I would be lodging a complaint with the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: The driveway needs to be appropriately replaced or repaired or overlaid again. The quality of the asphalt and its application is less than standard. John Donohoe should contact me, set up a time to meet, and make the appointment. In the alternative, he may refund the money for the job, and I will have it appropriately replaced.

Review: John Donohue (Jr) sealed our driveway over a month ago. I came home to find our portable basketball hoop moved (and broken). The front rim was bent (it appears when they moved it, it slammed against the ground). The worst part is that the backboard is now detached from the pole brackets...and therefore unusable. I left several messages starting that day, and finally spoke directly to John (Sr) a couple weeks later. Now more than a month later, I haven't heard anything.Desired Settlement: I would like our portable basketball hoop to be replaced with a comparable model. My son typically lives out there, especially with basketball season starting up...he needs a hoop to shoot on.

Review: Company repaved driveway sloping towards garage, rather than towards the street. With each heavy rain, water floods the garage due to poor angle in which driveway was paved.

I have repeatedly called company and Mr. Donohue had said numerous times he will rectify the problem, but he never came to make necessary repairs. Finally, he offered a full refund, but this too was never delivered.Desired Settlement: Refund of all money paid --$1,300.00
