I tried to work with them on this and had conversations with both Mrand Mrs [redacted] As you can read in the letter, somebody else had to move the bed after we completed the jobThis can be seen in the picture they sent me showing it setting on a new floor. It was thirty days before they informed us of a problem, it would seem to me if they had a problem with the bed, and it would have been noticeable in a day or two.If we put the bed together, which it does not appear we did, and someone else moved the bed any liability we would have had no longer was in placeAlso enclosed is a copy of the bill of lading stating that her coverage is sixty cents per pound of the item signed by Mrs [redacted] Mrs [redacted] states that one day after the move the bed was wobbly and shaky, we were not called until days after the moveAs fa as the other damage we were not told about it at the time of the move or even the next dayI'm sorry this took place, but based on the information I have I do not feel we have any responsibility Sincerely, John E***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]We have witnesses who can verify that the bed was assembled by E[redacted] Van & Storage. Further, no one ever tried to work with us. In fact, any interaction we ever had was because we followed up with it. In fact, when we notified them of the issue and they scheduled a time to came out, that day came and went and they never called or showed up. That doesn't sound like they were "trying to work" with us. In fact the second time they scheduled to come out, their employees actually tightened loose bolts on the bed that had never been tightened.
After moving, we were remodeling the home and went some time without sleeping on it. When we did start sleeping on it, we thought something was wrong, and upon further inspection, we found all of the middle supports bent and broken and all of the screws loose and not even tightened. We took pictures which I will try to attach. If the screws and bolts were tightened at the time it was assembled, this would not have happened. We did put a new floor down. However, we did not disassemble or take apart the bed. It was picked up by 4 people, 1 at each post. As I tried to explain to Mr. E[redacted] in one conversation I had with him, furniture can be moved. For instance bar stools. We have a few that we move in and out each day. They don't fall apart, because the screws were tightened and it was assembled properly. If our bed was assembled properly, and the screws were tightened as they should be, this would not have happened. If Mr. E[redacted]'s employees cannot assemble furniture properly and completely, it should not be a service that they offer.
The last conversations I had with Mr. E[redacted], I provided him with the information about our bed and that the slats and middle leg supports could not be purchased separately, but rather the bed was sold as a whole entity. He told me he would get back with me, and he never responded once I provided him with this information.
We thought having movers would make our move easier, however, for us it has proved to be much more difficult. E[redacted] Van & Storage needs to accept responsibility for failing to provide a service which they advertised and took them up on. Replacement of sixty cents per dollar of the price of the bed would be satisfactory to me, but that choice was never offered to us.
Regards,
[redacted]

Also enclosed is a copy of the bill of lading stating that her coverage is sixty cents per pound of the item signed by Mrs. [redacted]. Mrs. [redacted] states that one day after the move the bed was wobbly and shaky, we were not called until 30 days after the move. I'm sorry this took place, but based on the information I have I do not feel we have any responsibility.

We are sorry that the issue has had to come to your attention.  We hae spoke to the customer several times trying to solve the damage of the glass in the television stand.  We have called the manufacture of the product and were told the item was no longer produced.  We contacted a...

glass company to see if the glass could be replaced, it was determined that it could not be replaced.  this took time to get the information needed.
In trying to remove the glass for packing, the glass was damaged.  The valuation for damage of the customer's items is based on sixty cents per pound per article.  The manufacture gave us a weight of one hundred eighty pounds.  The valuation amounts to $108.00.
Again we are sorry for the delay in processing the claim.  A check in the amount of $108.00 will be forward to customer.  If you have questions, I can be reached at the above telephone number.
Sincerely,

President
