Thank you for contacting our office concerning *** ***l apologize for any shortcomings of my receptionist and staffHowever, as *** stated herself that she came into the office for an exam, x-rays and evaluation which was performedWe attempted to do the treatment however,
we were unable to numb her for the procedureSince we knew that *** was quite fatigue, we did not charge her for the consultation knowing that she would need to come back for treatment and she would be charged at that time for the consultationWhen she called back to cancel her appointment and stated that she would not be returning to our office we informed her of the charges
In her letter she is not denying that she was seen for treatment but that she did not like my receptionist or assistantUnfortunately, because you do not like someone that has provided you with service does not mean you do not have to payThe charges being billed are; x-rays, exam, and pulp vitality test to determine if a root canal was necessaryThere were no charges for injections or anything elseAlso it should be noted that the radiograph for the affected tooth was taken and in our records

In regards to complaint ID#[redacted]: As a fee for service practice for over 20 years patients are always told what their financial responsibilities are before they come to our office. We also understand that some patients have an easier time receiving dental treatment as opposed to others and we always try our best to do our procedures as comfortably as possible. The procedures stated earlier were performed in our office in accordance with the standard of care. The $127.00 dollars will therefore apply for our limited oral exam, x-rays and pulp testing.

This resolution is not satisfactory.  I still feel that services provided were less than acceptable and not performed correctly.   Since you will not cancel the amount due and since I do not want you to ruin my excellent credit rating by having you turn  this over to a collection agency, I am only able to make monthly payments.  I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and had to engage another dentist to perform the root canal, which he did with NO PROBLEM in numbing the CORRECT TOOTH and NO PROBLEM taking the  CORRECT XRAY.   Furthermore, I wrote to you, Dr. [redacted]. a personal letter to which you did not have the courtesy of responding to.  Perhaps it was not given to you.  Also, I left a message for you to call me to discuss this situation and you did not have the courtesy of responding to that either.  I'm sure that if your mother knew how disrespectfully you treated me she would be ashamed of you.
