On Nov 2nd 2015 John gave me a quote to install granite in my kitchen. He quoted me $2850 without the back splash. I also wanted granite in the back of the sink. He insisted that a back splash was better there or that it is no longer used there. I also asked him for a border on the granite and he showed me different designs. When I told him which one I wanted he told me people don't use that anymore. Today is Dec 13 and my kitchen is not finished. He was going to do the back splash for another $200. After the experience with the granite I did not want to do any more business with him. When the person I hired to do the back splash said to me that granite should have been installed on the back of the sink and in another space next to the refrigerator. I called him and asked him for the 3rd time to please find me the granite that I have been asking for. He said that he was going to do another house and was going to buy the same granite to install the granite missing. After a week I called him again and received no answer. I also texted him again no answer. When I texted him I told him that I did not know how irresponsible he was. My kitchen was not done for Thanksgiving and it looks like it is not going to be ready for Christmas either. He is not reliable nor trustworthy. The job was very sloppy, done in a hurry and the dishwasher is not secured to the granite. When I complained he said that he was going to secure it. He just wanted the money, and did not care the outcome of the job. I feel that he charged way too much for what he did.
