I would NOT recommend this business for the demolition and cleanup part of a fire damaged homeI had a fire in my home and my insurance coreached out to John Grace Construction LLC because they had a good reputationDuring the demolition and cleanup process, they did almost as much damage to the salvageable items as the fire and smoke did to the restThis was the worst example of negligence and carelessness in the treatment of someone's home and personal belongings as I've ever seenThey have almost caused me more distress and anxiety than the fire itself & the loss it causedMidway I felt I had to be there every step of the way to babysit the process once I saw how much damage they had caused to my salvageable furniture, how many things were missing from their non salvageable list including a remaining drawer full of items in the kitchen, things I brought to their attention that were burned, and things missing in general of my salvageable itemsThey assured me that my salvageable belongings would be treated with the greatest respect and care, and they failed terribly, breaking the trust I really needed during such a tragedyThings broken and severely damaged by them, things missing, handled carelessly and discarded arbitrarily even though they weren't damaged by fire or smokeI had to ask them to remove one of their workers from the job after I found him stacking heavy items on top of boxes that were clearly marked fragile/do not stack anything on top of in the pod for storage among other thingsAfter I finally fired them, I discovered the invoice they billed my insurance co., listed several things they claimed were completed that were not completedI got lots and lots of apologies and promises from them that they'd make it right, but they never did The last day they were there, they pushed and pushed me to sign a document that I agreed for them to do the demo & cleanupThis document was never presented to me until the last day they were thereIt should have been presented to me the first day before work began A sign of the lack in business professionalismI lost a lot in this fire including my dogI've never had a house fire before, and the shock & devastation makes it hard for the homeowner to see at firstJohn Grace claims they will be implementing new policies and procedures because of how badly things were done by them after my house fire, but my thought is, for how long they've been in business handling fire damage, they should already know what they're doing

These guys were awesome - start to finish They did what they promised, when they promised An easy recommendation to pass them on to my friends and neighbors!

Once in a while a business is just different John Grace is one of those They care about their employees and customers with equal zeal, that is different They only work with the best contractors who meet their exceptionally high standards, that is different In the world of restoration contractors there are a fair share of people looking to profit off others misfortunes without taking the time to think about the affects on the customer, who is sometimes facing an awful and emotional predicament John Grace Construction does care I have never worked with a more professional and courteous group of people in my life Even the owner goes out of his way to let each person he deals with know that they are an important part of his business Keep up the good work Clay!!
