will not do the work as the contract states wanted to rewrite contract I refused makes the contract I signed he refused tohe threatened me , verbally abused me scared my grandchildren that they locked themselves in the car I paid and he cashed the check for emergency cover of roof however he said he was going to beat me to the bank with the check of and refused to give it back when I requested it he blocked me in my drive way I had to go to the bank to stop payment on the check and pay that feealong with the delay of interviewing other roofers and be able to find and put myself on there list to complete the work and take the chance of further damage also said he was going to put a lien on my propertytake me to courthe decided to shut of my furnace without permission, we leave it on pilot because its hard to start I had to get help to relight it because my father is disabled vet and he needs to be warm at all times when im able to bring him to hi

I am rejecting this response because: this is not true. He wanted me to sign the contract with the payment of 500. Emergency repair. And a payment of 1000.00 to start work once he meet with adjuster after he already new they where only doing 1/2 roof. He said he would get the insurance to do whole roof and get them to cover the garage roof . So when we meet to to discuss what he thought we should do because he couldn't get the adjuster to change his mind He wanted to write a new contract because he refused to do the work on the contract for the price the insurance company would pay. And I wouldn't make a new contract. That I requested the 1000.00 dollar check back he refused I told him he refused to do the work stated that he droke the contract The reason why he droke the contract is that the insurance was a cash value only. Which I was also unaware of this until I spoke to the adjuster after he meet with the contractor. And he wanted me to dry out the would on porch so it won't need to be replaced. And not only that because his emergency repair I payed 500 dollars for continued to leak. I don't live there and drove up with my grandchildren to meet with him. That's why they where there to witness the anger and the blocking of drive way at the end after several minutes and me tiring to contact the bank I was let out and he Stopped on the side of the township road got out of is truck took is signs. I drove buy him and went directly to the bank. The bank doors where locked and they let me in to finish the stop payment papers. He set up the meeting with the adjuster himself in his time I gave him my keys so he could show the adjuster further damages he said would get covered but did not . I called the sheriff filed a report of his behavior threatening behavior and have grandchildren he's the one that refused to do contract not me until we talked at the table I was ready to start the work. He was not. I shouldn't have to pay for work he refused to do because the talk he had with the adjuster didn't go the way he thought. I'm disabled women that knows nothing about construction can't climb roofs. I'm in the process getting other quotes between trips from the cities and the leaky roof that he said he fixed but didn't do it right. I can't trust this company to do the work on my fathers and my property , my father is a disabled vanurable adult . He saw the 1/2 roof only paid for from the adjuster before he called him out to try to get him to cover the whole roof and at the same time talked to the adjuster about the garage. He couldn't get what he promised He was mad he couldn't get me to sign another contract and got hostile because I wouldn't be bullied in doing so. He had my only keys to my home as well but he did return them before the arguement . He got 500.00 for a job he didn't do right and shut off the furnace .
