Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 7, 2017/01/11) */ Here at Whites Marine Center, we are a new and used boat dealership that have been in business since We provide sales and services in multiple states throughout the USWe did sell [redacted] & Tina Tracy a new boat purchaseNot Mr [redacted] R ***I'm not sure who Mr [redacted] R [redacted] even is nor do I know where he has gotten his informationI can tell you that we are very aware of the situation & we have refunded the full amount of the deposit in the amount of $4,to [redacted] on 1-3-We also included a check to [redacted] for the additional parts that [redacted] had purchased while he was picking up his new boatBoth checks were sent out and have cleared the bank [redacted] & [redacted] did their financing through our out of house finance company and Whites Marine Center were the ones who made the call to the finance company to see about stopping the loanWhites Marine Center signed the necessary documents to cancel [redacted] & [redacted] ***'s loan and Whites Marine Center covered the cost and fees of thisThe boat was dropped off over the holidays during our annual shut down that [redacted] was well aware ofOur annual shut down this year started at noon on December 22, until January 2nd, We all went out of town for the holidays to spend time with our families during the slower season for boatingThe day we returned to the office, we did a quick go over on the boat that [redacted] and [redacted] purchased and then made sure the full refund went out on January 3rd, as the post office was closed on January 2nd, We feel like we have went above and beyond to satisfy [redacted] during this unfortunate situationThis act of kindness from Whites Marine Center has already cost our business around $1,plus we have a boat that is not a new boat anymore that we will have to sell at a discounted priceNot to mention, the remarks that Mr [redacted] R [redacted] has posted online regarding our business are very unfair and untrueAs you can see above, we done everything possible to resolve this situation for [redacted] *** Sincerely, [redacted] GM General Manager at Whites Marine Center Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (2000, 9, 2017/01/12) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
