12-15-2014 *** *** was in on May 5th to pick up her vehicle from our Body Shop after we had installed non OEM (non original equipment of the manufacturer) parts brought to us by herShe looked over the work performed, agreed it was satisfactory and drove awayDays later and five states away (in the mean time they had moved) her party sent communication to *** *** *** *** that they were unhappy with the work and they felt we had damaged the vehicle while installing the non OEM partsMonths later *** contacted me and shared their storyShe explained the situation and I asked her to bring the vehicle in so we could try to help her, however she had moved out of state and could not returnShe did however take the vehicle to two different places for estimates to fix the damageAt this point, I was in a position where the customer acknowledged the work performed and drove away and later states we damaged her vehicle, however it can’t be brought back to our facility for me to assess the situationAfter investigating the situation I had decided that we would attempt to help the customerI then called Ken (the primary driver of the vehicle) and stated that we would provide a check to them for the full amount of the estimate THEY provided, fixing the three door panels we allegedly damaged and the running boardI explained they would have to sign a release form and then we would send the check*** agreed that was fair and asked me to send the release form to ***, so I faxed it to herLater I received a message from *** stating that wasn’t good enough, she said she was concerned that there MAY be more damageWe do NOT acknowledge our shop did the damage, however this was an awkward situation and we were trying to be amicable by sending a check in the amount of $To sum it up, we tried to resolve their concerns in a fair and reasonable manner, given all of the unknowns and the fact that I cannot see the vehicle in question or try to help perform the fix
