Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/27) */
Mr.*** searched the shop, click and drive website which is a general motors website provider, gm accesses our inventory and prices it with out taking into account the dealership add ons such as lift kits, wheels and tires and other
accessories, so the vehicle in question was priced without all the add onsOnce this was discovered I sent Mr.*** an email explaining this and the new price on the truck prior to his purchaseI also called the vendor and removed all of my inventory that has add ons and removed them from this siteI explained to the customer that the price on the vehicle did not include the price of the lift kit and I could not sell the vehicle for that priceI apologized for the mis communication and apologized for the time we wasted texting back and forth

Regardless of what advertisers this dealership uses or what the advertiser left out it is the dealerships responsibility to ensure that what is advertised is the correct selling price not the customerHaving an advertised price that is misleading is Advertisement especially when the vin number maches the vwhile for saleThe dealership openly admits that they use this service therefore they should be responsible for what is advertised and how it is advertisedWhen emailing back and forth with there salesperson samanthaI included a copy of the price I agreed to pay through this serviceWhich she either purposely or unintentionally disregardedI did this because their email quote did not match what was advertisedThis disregarding either the attempt to correct the deficiency I noticed or inattention to detail shows me that this dealership or the salesperson has only one thing in mindThat is to see how much money they can screw their customers out of by any means possible and not doing what is right by their customersI can't believe I served this country for years to give these type of people the freedom to stick it to other people

thanks for the reply however, after speaking with employee of yours that explained the process of how it could have stopped right then and there. So am to understand what she told me was false? Especially since it makes sense to her telling me our names stay in the database. Since I have spoken to her I have not received another letter of denial. As far as a letter of approval that never happened just a lot of denials and it got to the point of being denied due to too many inquires. Honestly, not trying to bash on anyone but I don't think Ms.[redacted] would just falsify anything against the company. After all she works for u. Great company however have placed more damage to credit due to 30 days of credit denials after we went said no. Would appreciate the inquires removed.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/18) */
I talked with the customer and my service director even walked them out to look at the lift that the vehicle was raised on, and after looking at how the lift works and that it never touches that part of the vehicle, the customers husband...

acknowledged that it didn't look like to him it could have been done with the lift either. I explained to the customer that if we were to attempt to lift her vehicle that way our lift would have done a lot more damage to the vehicle than what it looks to have been done. My opinion is that this was damaged by driving over something, like a curb or parking lot curb. That is why I turned down their request of my company to take responsibility for the damage. As stated I did offer a free oil change in an effort of goodwill. She declined my offer.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/08/20) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Yes the service dept walked my husband and I out to the shop to see the lift . Yes my husband did decline that it was done by the lift..... But the arm of the lift not the pad of the lift...... If the lift arm had done the damage it would have in fact done more damage and had yellow paint on it...... But as my husband and I were further looking at the lift device it was the PAD on the arm of the lift that we noticed had done the damage. If the dent on my car had been done by running up over something such as a curb..... One... There would not be grease on the exact center of the dent...the same grease that was on the pad of the lift that my husband ran his hand across and then got grease on his hands. And two there would have been directional scrapping of the paint..... This has no scrapping of the paint....just a dent. Again we did agree that it was not the arm of the lift that had done the damage but that it was the PAD of the lift that had done the damage. If the technician may have accidentally placed the pad of the lift wrong and started to lift the car then yes it would provide a dent. Had he quickly noticed before raising the car completely that it was not placed properly he would have lowered it back down placed it properly on the vehicle then finished raising the vehicle. My husband never agreed that the lift itself did not do the damage.. He agreed the yellow arm was the one that did not do the damage..... The pad attached to the arm of the lift is the one that has done the damage.

Before turning down the customers request, I talked to my lift company and a body shop, both said if the lift had been put where the customer say's the pad was put, even for a second it would have tore the side of the vehicle up real bad based on the amount of torque of the lift and the location of the dent on the vehicle due to the weight of the vehicle no matter how fast you caught such a mistake. Based on that knowledge of two professionals in that business, I declined the customers request. that is the reason after she sent me the pictures it took so long to get back to her with my decision. I explained this to our customer at that time but she was not happy with my response. I don't believe the damage was caused by our dealership.
Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 11, 2015/08/24) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I have too shown my photos and the damage itself on my car to other mechanics who have dealt with this type of equipment as well and all have saidbthe same thing I said..... Had they caught the mistake soon enough it wouldn't have TORE my car up as Mr. [redacted] says.....

[redacted] and [redacted] applied for credit and that was submitted to lenders for approval on the date stated, and was approved by a lender, customer stated that they decided not to purchase and we have not proceeded since that date with anything to do with their credit app.  As you know banks must...

send letters out to customers that have been submitted and I presume the letters they are getting are based on the day they applied for a loan at our company.  since some lenders might have qualified them as to the amount they were requesting or the type of car, the lender must issue a letter informing the customer of this decision.  We have not tried to submit anything on this customer to any lender of ours since the day they were here.  Thank You [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:
[redacted] called and said they wanted to make it right and He wanted to know what they could...

do to make us happy. I said that free oil changes or something would be okay. He said he would talk to Mr. [redacted] and call me back and I never heard from him since. So nothing was fixed and I am still not satisfied.

As Mr [redacted] said...

the truck in question was a 2007 with 200,000 thousand miles and the inner fender wells are plastic and worn when he brought the vehicle into us for service, the clips that hold the fender wells were broke and loose when we removed the inner fender wells to replace the fuel filter which most are with that type of mileage and wear. We did the repair and replaced the same inner fender wells with the same clips that were attached at the time we removed them. On his way back to Kansas he claims that his tires hit the inner fender well clips and caused the inner fender well to break even more. The repair happen July 2 2014 and the vehicle was returned on July 10th 2014 upon examination what the customer stated was true that the inner fender well was worn out and not held tightly by the clips just as we noticed at the time of repair. So I explained to Mr. [redacted] that if he would purchase the new inner fender well part my company would install it for no charge. He was not satisfied with that offer so he declined.
I do not agree with the resolution that he is wanting and my offer was for the labor only.
Thank you
