Do Not Hire
Used them for a small front porch. Ending up looking like a small child did it...just horrible workmanship. Also, the entire pad was too high, was sloping and there were humps close to the house...squirted with a hose to see where the water would lay...the water pooled around the entire pad close to our foundation. Their concrete truck also dumped concrete all over landscaping (he never cleaned this out either).
Two days after the job was done we had him back out. Refused to redo the pad and turned his back on us and left...real professional (but said he would reimburse us). He finally sends us a check but to a bank with no funds in it! Finally got our money back but it was like pulling teeth.
Had another contractor come out...said it was the worse job he's ever seen, agreed to tear it out and redo FOR HALF THE COST! He said John Jarrett's cost was WAY TO HIGH!

Per [redacted] The concrete that was used is the same concrete that was used for the next door neighbor and there isn't anything wrong with their drivewayThere may not have been salt used on the driveway but there is no way of telling what other chemicals were used to get rid of ice during the winter timeBusiness stated this driveway was done years, no refund will be awarded to the customer due to this factOwner suggest using a good premium sealer and reseal the driveway

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]
The ramp is not the cause of the crackThe concrete that was replaced had been there since sometime long before 1972, and it had not cracked because of the rampThe ramp is a very small incline, not the reason for the crackAgain, the concrete is only and 1/inches deepThe contract states that it was to be 5-6" deep, and made no mention of work being subcontracted out, which I would not have agreed toI believe that is the reason for the crackThe crack is not wide, but it is feet longMy daughter went to ***'s residence because we could not find the address he gives for his businessI believe it does not existMy daughter did NOT get hostile with him, just asked when it was going to get fixedHe slammed the door on her and then called me and told me to "go to ***"Mr*** has not been in contact with me throughout the whole processI have had to call him several times and he does not return my callsI do NOT want him to repair the concrete as I do not trust him to do it correctlyAs stated in the original complaint, I am asking for a refund of $***

Per [redacted] The concrete that was used is the same concrete that was used for the next door neighbor and there isn't anything wrong with their driveway. There may not have been salt used on the driveway but there is no way of telling what other chemicals were used to get rid of ice during the winter time. Business stated this driveway was done 3 years, no refund will be awarded to the customer due to this fact. Owner suggest using a good premium sealer and reseal the driveway.

Business owner Went over to look at the driveway last week, the driveway was well over two years old when he was asked to come over and look at the driveway, it has salt damage; advised that on the back of the salt bags that is says not to use on concrete less...

than 2 years old; Says that the chemicals being used by the city and townships are destroying concrete.

Per Mr. [redacted] -- last year replaced part of her driveway turnaround, they had a ramp instead of a step in front of the door, ramp caused the concrete the crack because of the extra weight of the concrete,...

business said they would come over and repair the crack in the driveway, crack is less than a 16th in. in width, per the guidelines of the home builders association the crack does not warrant even being repaired but promised to fix the crack anyway, the daughter go to the business owners home and got hostile with Mr. [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] called the customer and let them know he would not do anything to the driveway at that point. He said that he will still go over and repair the crack for the customer but he's not happy about going into a hostile environment. The thickness and weight of the concrete where the ramp is has caused the problem.  The business stated that he would wait for the weather to break so he could come over to repair the crack and has had contact with the customer throughout this whole process. Business has stated that he will not replace the entire driveway, it states in his contract that he can not guarantee against cracks.
