Review: Various issues with home improvement work, including but not limited to:
- repair/replace hardwood floors that were not installed properly (cupped) needed
- drywall/molding/painting repair needed
- drywall that we wanted replaced was not, only skim-coated
- we did not get the correct doors that we wanted installed (front and back)
- issues with front screen door (poor quality of replacement part)
- cabinets separating from wall
- grout of kitchen tile floor
- poor installation of bathroom vanity
This contactor has acted in a completely unprofessional manner. He has not responded to our requests, he indicated the issues with the flooring was due to us needing insulation in our crawl space (if this were the case, as the "professional" we paid substantial dollars to, he should of let us know in advance; therefor he was neglectful), and he cursed and hung up the phone on my 8 1/2 month pregnant wife.
The insulation has been installed under the crawl space.
He charged subtantial and ridiculous "overage" charges at the time of completion; he was paid in full.
He has since refused to "stand behind his work" and fix what needs to be repaired.Desired Settlement: He should stand behind his work, fix what needs to be fixed and do so in a timely manner.
If he chooses to continue to ignore our requests, I will consult with an attorney and seek cash compensation.
