Marc was contracted to do a home project for me and started the project and never came back to finish for nearly 3 months. He did not communicate with me and it was extremely difficult to reach. He eventually came back and only completed about 5% of the work he had committed to completing that day. He wasted 50% of the 2 hours he was only there for at Home Depot leaving my home exposed and unlocked. He shared he would be back the next day to complete the work and never did. This company is trash and if you want a real professional that will complete the job promised, look elsewhere!

In August of 2018, we entered into a contract with business owner Marc *** to make renovations to our home at *** in Fayetteville, GA.The contract stipulates the project would cost $26,000.If the project exceeded $26,000, Marc agreed to cover the additional cost, which is also in the contract. The project was contracted to take 2 months from start to finish. He started the project near the end of September 2018, but would not hold himself to deadlines he set and rarely showed up as scheduled. With this continued pattern, by January 2019 (4 months later), we reached out to another contractor/helper (Brad Wiley) to help expedite the process of getting the renovation completed. The helper was paid at our expense and was supposed to help Marc with the project. However, the helper actually ended up completing the remainder of the project in full due to Marc rarely showing up as scheduled, working for one or two hours at a time, and his taking on other projects elsewhere that seemed to dominate his time and distract him from completing our renovation. We hired the helper because the back of our house was not secure given that it was essentially open due to framing of the renovation. The helper finished the project in April 2019 (for what was supposed to be a two-month project without us paying for additional help), while Marc was mostly in and out.Not including money that we paid to the helper, Marc still owes us $1800 for renovation cost overage in materials paid.He agreed to pay the overage and has made payments but a balance remains. Of late, he has not returned efforts on our behalf to reach him by phone call and text. His last communication to us was on February 10, 2020.He wrote: I will send it (payment) today or tomorrow.Waiting on something to post."Since his text, we have reached out multiple times with no response in return. If this is how he runs his business, we see it only ethical that the public know by submitting this complaint. We have detailed texts and emails as proof.

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) Payment of the remaining balance.
