John Martin Rentals Reviews (2)

A few years ago, we purchased a heat pump unit through McNutt Services GroupThis is the most expensive mistake of our livesFrom the time the unit was installed, it failed to work properlyWe made several service callsWe finally reached to point of contacting a lawyer to find out what redress we hadAfter speaking with her and finding out that we could go to court for their inability to fulfill their warranty responsibilities, we gave McNutt one last chanceSo after two years of these problems, someone came out and confessed that the constant malfunctions were due to the fact that they system was incorrectly installed(I'm sure this is only because of the threat of a lawsuit.) During this time, it had also failed to work in the dual mode, which was to help lower energy use and costs Once the botched installation was corrected, our electric bills did go down We have no way of knowing what permanent damage was done to the unit because of all that time of cycling improperly or what else they did wrong that has yet to surface Now, we move on to the "warranty." In order to have the unit kept under warranty, apparently, we must have it inspected and serviced every year BY MCNUTTI completely understand the purpose of inspection and service for warranty, but since purchasing our unit, McNutt has exploited this by doubling the price of this "service." It is this insanely high price that has spurred us to write at this time: Service time is here again, and it is $139, not including refrigerantPlenty of companies are running specials at this time for this service for $McNutt certainly offers no expertise to make their service worth even a penny more than the least expensive service in townthey are clearly simply exploiting the fact that we will have no warranty unless we pay their very pricey ransom How poor quality are they? Every single time they come for inspection, the VERY NEXT day, the unit malfunctionsThe people they hire are of such poor caliber that they damage the units they are supposed to be protecting while overcharging customersThis is unconscionable McNutt has undergone changes in ownership and management in our area during this time, so the problem is obviously corporateNo matter what, stay away from this company
