Review: John Parichuk Paving was hired to install asphalt on a 500 foot section of a shared driveway in October 2013. The invoice that was provided indicated that the thickness of the asphalt would be 3 inches thick and I was assured that 3 inches has been installed. The invoice also indicated that the asphalt installation would include a 1-year warranty. I began contacting John in April 2014 to let him know that there was a section of the asphalt that had cracked and was crumbling creating a pot hole. After reviewing the section it was clear that 3 inches of asphalt had not been applied since the asphalt was gone from this section and the measured depth of the pot hole from the remaining to the dirt was only about 1 inch. After explaining this to John, he indicated that he would come out and fix the driveway. John agreed to meet me on a Saturday morning to review the situation with me in person. John never showed or called to indicate he was not coming. I called him a few days later and he assured me that he would make things right. I have tried to call, text, and e-mail John many times without a response. He no longer answers the phone when I call.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is for John Parichuk to honor the contract we both signed. John agreed to install 3 inches of asphalt. He did not do that at least in some sections of the driveway. John agreed to fix the issues that have come up with the asphalt cracking under the terms of the warranty. John has not done that. I just what was agreed to when we signed the contract. I did my part by paying quickly the day the job was completed. I now would like John to live up to his part.
