John Riddle PR Services Reviews (3)

Review: I hired [redacted] to ghostwrite a book in early April 2015. On April 30, I wired Mr. [redacted] a deposit of $500, then an additional $1500 on May 14. He joined me, the publisher and author on one conference call, then would not respond to any phone calls or emails from the publisher. Mr. [redacted] never produced one word of writing for the author, and he never communicated with her accept for one time to ask about payment, which was a direct violation of his contract. His sporadic responses to emails from me were: he was out was out of town, at his mother’s funeral, taking care of his father, and he claimed to not be receiving any emails from the publisher. After the publisher and I decided to fire him from the project, we requested out deposit of $2000 be returned within a week. He responded saying he needed 30 days to come up with the money. We agreed to 30 days, which came and went without a word from Mr. [redacted]. I sent another email, to which he replied that he has filed for bankruptcy. I was listed as a creditor and would receive word from the court in 60-90 days. I can find zero evidence that a [redacted] of Bear, DE, filed for bankruptcy.

I request that the full deposit of $2000 be returned to me.Desired Settlement: I need the $2000 returned to me so it can go back to the publisher.

Review: [redacted] is a professional editor and ghostwriter. He also owns [redacted] Public Relations and is the founder of the I Love to Write Day. His address is 6 Basset Place, Bear, Delaware. His email addresses are [redacted]. His home phone number is [redacted] his cell number is ([redacted].At the first of this year I signed with [redacted] to edit 4 manuscripts and prepare proposals for submission of the manuscripts to publishers. The agreement called for a $1250.00 deposit and a balance of $550.00 due upon my receipt of a publishing contract. The signed agreement and the deposit were received by [redacted] on February 12, 2015 according to USPSs confirmation record. On February 28, 2015 I received an email from [redacted] requesting payment of the balance to help him offset the costs of buying prescription drugs for his ailing parents. I replied that I wanted to keep the $550 balance in tact as an incentive toward a publishing contract. However, I agreed to pay a separate $500.00 for [redacted]s help in preparing a web site for my books. A check for $500.00 was mailed on March 2, 2015. I received an email from [redacted] on March 4 thanking me for second check and stating he would have my first proposal ready in two weeks or less. When the two weeks passed with no proposal and no edited copy, I emailed [redacted] who replied he was out of town at a funeral and would get back to me next week. When I didnt hear from him the following week, I sent an email for an update. I also called his home and cell phone with no answer from either. I left voice messages asking that he call immediately. I received a brief email on April 11, 2015 saying his emails to me were being bounced back without further explanation. He made no attempt to contact me by phone. I have not heard from him since, despite several other emails and calls, as well as emails from the literary agency that referred him to me.Becoming concerned that I had been bilked out of my money I did some research on the internet and found that [redacted] has a similar complaint with the Delaware Revdex.com and two others with the web site Ripoff. The total amount paid for undelivered services in these complaints, including mine, is over $10,000.00. It appears that Mr. Riddle is using his contacts to lure unsuspecting writers into a premeditated scam to bilk them out of their money. I asked for a full refund via email on April 20, 2015. [redacted] has not responded. My objectives are to get my money back and to prevent others from being victimized by him.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund in certified funds and measures to prevent this individual from preying on other innocent writers.

Review: [redacted] was hired to write a book for a client and client had to wire $6,000 payment many months ago. No book and no chapters were ever produced.Desired Settlement: $6,000 to be returned.
