Review: I purchased a used vehicle from John's Auto Sales on April 2nd of 2013. At the time of the sale I was aware that the car had no warranty and was purchased as is. Within the first 24 hours of possessing the vehicle, the ignition became jammed and I was unable to shut the car down. The dealership fix this problem with no issue. After a month of possession, the car required an oil change. I took it to Wal-Mart, who stated that I had an oil leak prior to service and supposedly fixed the problem. I then spent $300 on repairing the damage done by Wal-Mart and the dealership because of poor maintenance and execution. Since then I have had to replace the spark plugs, the spark plug wires, the serpentine belt, the transmission hose, the rear passenger tire, the radiator, and the thermostat gasket. This not including labor costs. However, the car is in need of even more repairs as the heater hoses need replaced, the other three tires, the valve gasket, possibly the head gasket and the driver's side window all need work done. Not to mention the gallons of antifreeze, fuel injection cleaner and oil I have had to put into the vehicle over this period. What makes this situation worse is that I have only had the vehicle of seven months, and the car will no longer start.I had the vehicle towed to the dealership to evaluate the problem and found that it was an antifreeze leak into the water tank which cause the engine to seize and the car is beyond repair.The dealer disclosed that I would have not been able to foresee this, which means it existed before I bought the car. The Kelly Blue Book price for this vehicle used was $1500. I have a loan for this vehicle for 3 years for $3500, with added interest for a total of $5000. I have spent over $1000 in repairs. While I am painfully aware that I purchased the car as is, it is my belief that I have been taken advantage of for an easy profit. The dealer knew I was inexperienced with the buying process and knew the condition of the car, and yet sold it to me anyway.Desired Settlement: My want is for that the car to be returned to the dealership and my loan terminated with no fees or damage done to my credit. I do not wish for a replacement vehicle or any compensation from the dealership. If this settlement is unreachable, I would like to be able to trade in the vehicle at another dealership of my choice, but the needed repairs for the car to drivable to be done and paid for by the original dealership.
