Review: John W. Dudley Construction contracted with me to replace my roof, but didn't have a valid contractors license. He took payment for the work but hadn't completed the work in 5 1/2 weeks. He removed the roofing and covered it with a tarp for 4 weeks. The tarp leaked and caused water damage in 5 rooms in my house. He doesn't show up when he says he will, doesn't return phone calls and makes excuses why it's not done. After 30 days, he hadn't completed even half the project and still had not delivered the materials necessary to do the job. He said he would take care of the water damage, but has done nothing. He has refused to return any of the money he's taken after I told him I wanted the invalid contract canceled. I gave him 2 additional chances, to complete the job, and he still did not put forth the necessary effort to finish it.Desired Settlement: I want my $4000 back for the work he has not completed and to pay for the water damage.
