I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Yes, Mr. Brewer did contact the manufacturer, but nothing else. Did not get back to me, did not keep me posted, just ignored me. I continually contacted the manufacturer and they, too, did nothing, until I contacted their corporate offices. At that point they did respond and apologized for their poor customer service and did provide me with some compensation. However, this does not relieve the John Wayne's Glass company who sold me a window with a guarentee to provide me with a proper working window. I would not purchase from them again as they do not provide what they promise nor do they provide customer service when there is a problem.

I feel that the company should provide me with some sort of compensation. The window cost $530.00 for the replacement. Maybe I didn't need to replace it. I did replace it and it looks nice, however, they would not come out to assess the problem. My husband, daughter and I had to do the needed...

repairs, which was to take the latch out of the stationary window, redrill the screw holes, put in back in straight, etc. This required purchasing a proper size drill, buying screws, time and energy, and several hours of work. Someone in this field probably could have accessed the problem and fixed it in less than 15 minutes, but they refused to come and look at the problem or take ownership for any problems with the window. As to what I would like: I guess half of the purchase price would be nice, this would cover the cost of the filters that were changed weekly, the extra cleaning required daily, the health hazzard of breathing this dirt and dust and the inconvenience and stress of trying to deal with them to do something over several month period.
