I am rejecting this response because:Mr*** is a fundamentally dishonest personHe lures people in with low prices, and then provides extremely poor trainingHe offered to reduce my fees to $1,because of the inconvenience caused when he cancelled my training for the fist time with a hour notice before my flight.I paid him $1,000.He continues to send me a bill for $2,This is a clear case of dishonesty and fraudFAA is looking into his shady operation

This is in response to the Customer Experience Information provided by *** ***The complaint allegation is Guarantee or Warranty Issue. He arrived for training on Sep 19thInvoice was created, and a copy handed over to him, and emailedLike all other flight schools, fee is due at the
beginning of the trainingOn 20th we sent another reminder, and then on the morning of the 21st, before his checkride, a 3rd reminderHe never paid a single sent until after his checkride was concluded. When we have not received our fee, per the agreement, due upon receipt, I think just this by itself nulls and voids any promises. (Activity report attached)But, if you want the rest of the story, here it is. In the business of flight training, there are many variablesWeather, instructor, applicant, airplane, examiner, airport(s), and so onIf any of these variables are not available 100%, the training lesson or the examination gets cancelled or rescheduledAny pilot, who has received even a few number of lessons understands thisThe safety of the flight can not be compromised. Attached is a copy of our "Terms of Service" which was provided to *** *** at the beginning of the trainingAlso, these terms are posted on our website at - ***These terms are not unique to just our light school, but are strictly followed by ALL flight schools and flight instructorsEven though this is a matter of common sense, the terms clearly state that we do not provide any guarantee, but trainingAnd the invoice that the customers pay is for this training, irrespective to the resultAlso, they are free to discontinue the training at any time, and they will only pay for what they have already used. The analogy I use here is - if you go to a restaurant, order food, and then take a bite, or maybe 2, and feel like there is something not right about the food, you are owed a refund in fullBut if you keep eating until the dish is gone, and then complain to the Revdex.com, seeking refund etc, then there maybe nothing wrong with the dish itself but your own conscience***'s claiming that he has spend months and thousands of dollars, and still does not have his CFll (certification given by the FAA examiner, flight schools' just provide the training)This might possibly be trueeven though he agrees that he has only spent $with us, and daysHe also admits that after days, he took his checkride (examination) with the FAA examiner and he passed everything (oral, and almost all of the practical), but couldn't complete the last exercise (ILD - which is supposed to be ILS) - "shooting the ILD approach." This could have been caused by the aircraft equipment malfunction or the ground equipment malfunction which is owned and maintained by the FAAWe tested the airplane after his flight, and the airplane equipment seemed to be working fine, a copy of the report was submitted to the FAA's Sacramento FSDO officeI wonder (sic) what's the case - did he receive the intensive training from us, and it was good enough that he passed "almost everything", or was he sitting around in a different class (CFI initial ASE class) for those days, noticing how miserable the condition of those applicants was, and is just gifted naturally to pass "almost everything" without any instruction from usHe flew over hours of the "vintage C-172" during those days, broken down in separate flightsNot once did he complain about the airplane nor his instructorIn fact, he invited the instructor to come visit him if he is ever in AZ.Yes, it is true that I would not fly with himI had never agreed toHe enrolled in the school, and the school assigns a qualified instructorWhich is what he hadAnd that instructor is not flying hours a day because he has a lack of communication issuesHe is that busy because everyone wants him to instruct them. *** stayed in a motel, and not in our dormsSo, not sure of what's the reason for him complaining about dorms that he never used, not paid forThe ones who do, they are the ones who have been leaving the great star reviewsJust wanted to share this as he was wondering who all have been doing this. Similarly, he is complaining about me not teaching anything to other students who sit there gathered around meI do not think he has paid into that class eitherI will let those customers decide whether to come complaining or leave great reviews. The first time he was scheduled, to come for his training, the examiner cancelled at the last minuteHe had some family emergency he had to deal withWe notified him as soon as possibleHe took his checkride with that same examiner, but has not filed any complaint against him. I told him he does not need to come, and there is not checkride for him anymore (and no fee was deposited with us), and we will reschedule for another timeHe shows up anywaysOur generosity, we offered to reduce his training cost from $to $when he would come for the next scheduleThis was offered simply because I knew his kind would go out and throw dirt around on the internet, so we decided to take a lossHe was very happy with the offer. But then, when everything was set in stone, the first thing he does is start posing this same complaint all over the internetSo, our understanding is that the discount offered for his troubles was not acceptable to him, so we have retracted it, and we have filed a small claims case against him at the San Joaquin County court house to recover the remainder of the total invoice. Any further clarifications needed, please contact me directly

CFI Academy is in receipt of this complaint. We will respond back within a reasonable 7 day period.
