This vehicle was brought into John's Auto Care on 11/15/customer complaint was that they wanted a price on a timing belt and to look at an oil leak The customer was not charged a fee for diagnostics at this time After inspection we found oil leaking out of the cam cover gasket, and valve covers Customer agreed to fix this issue before looking into the other issue of the timing belt replacement On 03/10/the customer returned for the timing belt replacement that she initially came in for We were told she was having an issue after the last repair (months prior), but that she wanted to wait until she brought the vehicle back for the timing belt We preformed the timing belt replacement, and checked over our work and the vehicle showed no sign of the customers complaint (could not duplicate) We had the vehicle back a few times for this issue of stalls when cold when it is put into gear, and each time we could find nothing After some time we had the vehicle back in and again could not duplicate customers complaintThe technician did test the distributor and found that the spark was weak and recommended replacing it at that time The vehicle seemed to be fine at that point (still could not duplicate issue) and still had charged no diagnostic time and customer did not pay for the distributor I feel that the repairs that the vehicle was brought in for were done and done correctly We did not diagnose, nor come anywhere close to the transmission assembly on this vehicle during the repairs we made The vehicle has over 208,miles and transmissions do go bad Brendon @ John's Auto Care

We knew that you were having issues with the vehicle so on 03/08/we installed a distributor at no charge with a year 30,mile nationwide warrantyIf there was an issue with the part it should have been brought back to us and we would replaced it with no chargeDue to the fact that the vehicle was taken to a different dealer without it being pre approved as per the warranty the you receivedWe will not be able to give you a refund

I am rejecting this response because: We had transmission serviced at 150,miles we took the car back several times for complains it even says on the paperwork from Johns Auto that customer complains of transmission shifting hardThey had my car several times before March and even had to send a tow truck to my place of employment to pick up my carThey are responsible for my transmission and should be held accountable.

I am rejecting this response because: After the worst experience with Johns Auto and having so many issues after having them work on my car, I feared taking my car back to themI was afraid I'd get it back again with more issuesMy car was finally repaired the correct way with *** ***I could not risk it being broken again, as everything Johns Auto claimed to have "fixed" all had to be redoneI did not trust them to yet again fix something that was already "fixed" by them.
