We contracted John Long to finish our basement We contracted him to frame the walls in our basement, hang & finish drywall, do trim and install doors After the framing was done, he began on the drywall which was delayed to getting Drywall delivered (he took extra days to get it here) John wanted to be paid before the drywall was completely hung in order to buy supplies to finish the drywall (which he had purchased some materials - but returned due to not estimated the amount of drywall needed to finish) Once he had 95% of the drywall hung - we paid him for the next stage of the agreement - moving to the finishing the drywall Upon payment - he immediately cashed the check and disappeared for a week (he was supposed to come back the next day) He finally got back to me stating he had a family emergency and that he would be able to begin again in a month A month went by and we reached out to him and it took another week for him to respond stating that he needs anot
