This business was advertised as an emergency locksmith with a $flat fee for urgent service, with additional charges for parts and laborI was willing to pay the flat fee but was shocked when my total bill was more than $for less than hours worth of work, without any parts includedI feel that this is an unethical and predatory business practicesIt is unreasonable, unfair, and outrageous pricingThere was damage to my lock doneHe increased the price because I was a single femaleHe was rude, unprofessional, and increased the price because of my gender and where I livedGreater than $is unreasonable to fix a lock in less than hours with one person on the job, without any repair to the lockI would like a refund of my money less the $service fee

I recently purchased a home that has *** locks which were distributed and keyed by HoudiniI reached out to Houdini and expressed my interest in having two additional sets of keys madeI was told by a Houdini sales associate that it would not be possible to have additional keys made unless I had the cylinders replaced and keyed to a new code the cost was significantI was told by the sales associate that it was ***'s policyI called *** and spoke to representative Michael M*** and had additional correspondence with representative Rhonda L***Both *** representatives noted that it was not a *** policy and that Houdini created its own policyWhen I reached back out to Houdini representative Patty T*** and one of her colleagues would not acknowledge that Houdini created this policyObviously this seems like a scam established to put consumers like myself in very difficult financial positionThe Houdini representative finally stated on the call that they need to

Description of Complaint: We called them to come in to repair a lock on a safe in our office and was quoted $for the service call which was agreed toThey looked at the safe and  said the lock needed oil and maintenance, no price was discussed or agreed to so we thought the price was the service call, however when they presented their invoice it was $They never said - this is going to cost - over $so we could make a decision to perhaps replace the safe instead of repairing itAfter receiving the invoice we called to question the amountThey responded by saying - 'we were there for hours repairing it.' We checked our security tapes and  other people in the office at the time of the repair and in fact they were only shown repairing the safe for a little over an hourWe asked to pay $instead as we felt that the amount they charged was egregiousInstead we were sent collection letter because we disputed the  billThey did repair the safe
