Johnny's Car Wash

8/23/-- Spoke with [redacted] ***He provided the following phone response to complaint:Business did everything they could to fix the consumer's carThe husband of the complainant apparently had spit chewing tobacco all over the vehicleThe business could not not get all the stains offThey explained this to the consumerThe consumer was not happy with the way it lookedShort of replacing carpets there was nothing more the business could doThe business did try to get out more of the stains by visiting consumer and steam cleaning the spots but they just wouldn't come out

Customer had been warned on two other locations that the loose piece of trim on his vehicle would not be paid for if damaged because it came off previously when he visited the wash When it came off this time, it broke and he wanted us to pay for it When he was reminded that this has
been discussed with him previously, he proceeded to insult the manager, used vulgar language and behaved in about as unprofessional manner as one could He was provided a complaint form to use to escalate his claim to senior management for consideration but he chose to send an email instead demanding repercussions if he wasn't reimbursed We contacted him and told him that we did not appreciate treating our employees the way he did and said we would reimburse him if he would promise not to come back to our business At that point he threatened to get a lawyer The customer has also stated that he "paid for" a wash privilege when he purchased his vehicle from one of our automotive dealerships He did not pay anything for the wash privileges as part of his transaction Furthermore, the vehicle he was driving and was redeeming a free car wash with was not the vehicle that he transacted with us.As part of my attempt to resolve this issue, I simply asked him to apologize for his behavior and I would apologize for what he felt was poor behavior by our manager and he has not done that yet.In spite of all that, I mailed him a reimbursement check yesterday We would prefer that this customer not come to our car wash ever again We are honest, hardworking people and we don't need to put up with personal attacks, infantile behavior and vulgar language
