Johnny's Radiator Service & Automotive Repair Reviews (2)

HI [redacted],   My name is [redacted] from [redacted]S AUTO REPAIR AND RADIATOR SERVICE and I'm responding to a complaint from Ronnie Davis On October 24, 2016 customers 2002 Chrysler 300m was towed in due to no start.Customer stated he believed it might be the starter due to it doing the same...

thing it did back in April 2016 when the vehicle was brought in for a starter replacement. After inspecting vehicle found Fly Wheel worn out and needed to be replaced and that would consist of removing the transmission in order to replace fly wheel. Customer first declined due to pricing which was at $420 for labor and $107 for the part. Shop then agreed to do labor for $350 as customer requested and proceed with the job. After completing the job, which was replacing fly wheel and warranting starter customer called in to check status on vehicle he was advised that the flywheel and starter were replaced and but vehicle needed to be road tested but vehicle had no fuel so we would have charge for  fuel. Customer then showed up to pick up vehicle and said he wanted to pay and that he would go put gas. Customer then drove off with vehicle and which at that point made no noise. Customer then called shop about 40 minutes later and said that he put gas in vehicle and headed home and vehicle felt as if it wasn't shifting properly and was making a loud ticking noise. Shop then advised him to bring it back as soon as possible to be inspected. Customer then returned and dropped vehicle off to be checked. Technician then started vehicle and heard a loud knocking noise coming from the engine and wasn't able to road test due to not wanting to cause further internal damage. customer was then called and told that the noise was coming from the engine not the transmission. Customer then stated that the noise was never there and that he felt that we were responsible for it and we needed to fix it and which at that point I stated No that we will not. I [redacted] then advised him that he could contact the Revdex.com because they would be the ones to handle situations like this  and could have vehicle inspected and if it was anything that we did in our behalf that  we would be fully responsible.           Sincerely, [redacted]S AUTO REPAIR AND RADIATOR SERVICE Phone: ###-###-####

I am rejecting this response because:
First of all [redacted] told me their were going to a engine diagnostic free of charge  after they finished they call me to come see the problem. My car was parked in the back part of the business they drove to the lift and showed me the problem which was the flywheel. There was no problem with the engine he even told me I can drive like this but the problem will eventually happen again. Then I ask him how much the work will be he said 505 dollars all together, so we negotiated and I told them I can come up with 450 they agreed with price. After a few days I call to check on my car they said it was hard finding the part so I had to wait a whole week mind you they never mention anything about gas until the day I was picking up my car. They never call me to tell me my car was ready I had to call them when I call them on October 24 their first words was they do not have gas in my car. Basically it sounds like they did not do a road test after they supposedly fix my car because of gas which the gas station is around the corner from there shop. Again they never mention anything about gas until the day I was picking it up I could have give them 5 dollars for gas. Also the receipt is in my glove compartment  signed. In summary, after I picked up my car and drove it to gas station my car was making a loud clicking sound and was not shifting properly. So I call them and told them the problem and they said bring it back they kept it over Halloween weekend and could not check it because the mechanic who fix it was not there. I gave them a few days to check my car they still did not call me with a status. Then I call them on Wednesday November 2, 2016 that is when they told me the problem is coming from the engine and I have to pay again.
