To Revdex.com.[redacted] did bring her vehicle in for an inspection sticker.  Unfortunately I had to put a rejection sticker on the vehicle because the front parking lights were not working. I have been doing state inspections for 25 years and never like giving anyone a rejection, but their are laws...

in place for a reason, and I don’t want to pass a car that has failed the test. She came back to me on May 2nd to get her car inspected again.  Before bringing it into the bay, I checked to see that the lights were working, they were not. I offered to check the fuses or it could be a wiring issue. She had told me that the car had been in an accident and had had some front end damage. The headlights and grill had been replaced. I suggested she should bring it back to the garage that did the repairs and have them check it out, since they were the ones that last worked on the vehicle.  I did not refuse to check her car the second time. But had I pulled it in the bay and started the 2nd inspection, she would have failed again and you only get 1 free second inspection. So I thought I was doing her a favor and saving her money. Once fixed, she could have come back and received the sticker for free.At no time was I rude to **. [redacted]. I did my job and she was unhappy that I wouldn’t give her an inspection sticker. I am sorry for that, but will not jeapordize my inspection sticker license and break the law by giving her a sticker.

I do agree with the first part of his statement. After the first rejection I took the car to the dealership where it was purchased.  I explained the issue with the front parking lights.  They checked the fuses and the wiring and could find no issues.  I was reassured the lights were working fine. I brought the car back to him to be reinspected and was told they still didn't work.  I then went back to the dealership with the same complaint.  They showed me the lights were working.  The dealership as well as the 2nd place I went for an inspection both went through the safety check list to show me those lights were not part of it.  Only the rear parking lights are on the safety check. It was from their suggestion I file a complaint.  I would normally not complain about this,  but I am in over $200 between the two inspections and the labor fees for the dealership to check my car twice. When I am then told by two places this never auld have failed me,  you can understand why a complaint would be filed.  I did not feel comfortable bringing my car back in again. ]
