Review: My parents 87&88yrs old had inspection and maintenance done on 1/12/15 to the tune of $631.49. tJohn's charged them $173.88 for a battery John's purchased from Advanced - the battery on Advanced website costs $116.99 minus any repair station discount. I questioned them on the cost of the battery - the OWNER told me - "We have to make a profit somewhere" - now I believe this is a rip off of the elderly - they did not tell my parents the cost of anything until pickup of the vehicle. I am my parents poa (my father past away in March of this year) - I cannot believe they can get away with this - nothing was questioned until I came home for my fathers funeral. We will never go back and I am hoping anyone else that goes there checks their invoice if you are elderly.Desired Settlement: I want them to acknowledge that they do not have to take advantage of people doing business with them for 25 years - who put their trust in them that they would not be ripped off or taken advantage of. I am planning on posting a copy of this complaint on the [redacted] Senior Center for their viewing. Maybe this will stop someone else from being taken advantage of.The difference between their cost and what we were charged is $56.59 - I believe a refund is in order.
