I had made (2) free estimate appts with Mr. M[redacted] and both were cancelled...

by the customer. At this point I ended up sending one of my men who has been with the company since I've opened it. When I spoke to Mr. M[redacted] over the phone I advised him there would be a service charge of $250.00 which our normal service charge is $350.00 and we ended up only charging him $225.00 for the call. He was told in order to fix his situation we would have to replace the actual board which it was a per-finished flooring. The customer refused to have that done. It was one board that the grain of the wood was peeling on, and since he would not let us replace the board nor sand the area,we told him we would put a coating of poly on it to help keep it from sticking up. But, we did explain to the customer that he would have to do this several times over a months period in order for it to build up and act as a glue to seal it so it gets hard enough and it won't peel any more. There was really nothing we could do at this point. We did what we could without re-placing the board which would have fixed the problem. Also this is the first complaint our company has had since we have been in business with the Revdex.com with the exception of a woman that wanted a 100 year guarantee on her flooring.

I never received a receipt or ANYTHING in writing. I never got a free estimate like this company claims they do. I got a $225 estimate. they did NOTHING. if john came like a real business owner and actually saw the job before he sent a guy out to try and fix it without knowing what the situation was fully we wouldn't be at this now.he could of told me at the FREE estimate all of this and saved me the time and money. instead of promising me on the phone he could fix it without looking at it.  seems like johns time is worth more than mine. I should charge now for estimates when company come to look at my floor. because thats all this company did for me.if they actually did an estimate wrote a bill, or service contract then I could of decided what I wanted to do. especially if I had to do everything myself anyway. where does a company get off charging for service, generate no bill or paperwork not finish the job and get paid in full.  not a hard decision for me to me to make saving 250 and doing myself or having a guy come pay him 250 and have to it anyway entirely myself.this is a joke please tell me how this is allowed. no receipt or itemized bill. PLEASE TELL ME IN THE ETHICAL BUSINESS WORLD WHERE A COMPANY COMES AND DOES NOT FIX AN ISSUE AND STILL GET PAID FOR IT? WHY THERE ARE FREE ESTIMATES.
