I am sold on using online banking to access everything and have paperless everythingIt is clear this benefits the expenses of the business with less clients coming into the branches, less paper being mailed out etc
But to not have any way of servicing log in issues during operating hours is beyond unacceptableThe issue was receiving a security code and the only way for Johnson Bank to send it was via text messageWhat if I do not have the ability to receive texts?? I called the number they provided me online ###-###-#### and the individual only said my options would be to enter into a bank or call back on Monday where someone could update my phone number over the phone, wait additional hours, then have them send this security code all for the purpose of text message! The code should be able to be sent via email or by answering proper questions with a bank rep so they can generate a security code, other banks do this
It is my assumption that they do not for whate

I have a at Johnson Bank from a previous employerI have contacted them about rolling it over to another financial institutionI called themIt was very hard to hear their representative over the phoneBut she got me to their websiteHowever, I have had nothing but problems with itMind you, I have at least three financial accounts at other banks and financial institutions and do almost all of my business with each of them onlineSo I know my computer, browsers and ability to use passwords and navigate such sites and the like is more than enough for any institution that has halfway decent online serviceThat said, when I try merely to sign on to Johnson Bank's site I get invalid password messages and instructions to change my passwordI follow them to a T and still get error messagesI change browsers and get the same thingMeanwhile, I have had no problems with the various bank and financial accounts I have elsewhereI can only think that Johnson Bank's IT department i

My wife and I decided to contact Johnson Bank to apply for a mortgage We chose this bank, in part, because they advertise that they would “treat us like family” with “family values” What they don’t tell you is, it’s a dysfunctional familyOur current income level isn’t the highest, but we both have 830+ credit scores, which says a lot about how we handle our business affairs We dealt with Amy *** in the Green Bay office My wife spoke to her only one time in person (on the phone) The reminder of contacts were via email, and were presented as if being texted by a high schooler - very, very impersonal This is how we were notified that we were being denied by Johnson bank for a loan, verbatim:
“I am sorry, your husband will just need to be at the *** job longer Or start taking monthly withdrawals from 401k would need a good mth history though of that.”
No Hello, Goodbye, Thanks for contacting Johnson Bank, no information regarding exactly how much longer I would need to be at my job, no information regarding how much the 401k withdrawals would need to be, not to mention how unprofessional her emails were; limited capitalization, incorrect punctuation and grammar, no personalization - at all The bank also failed to provide the denial in writing as was promised and is required There was nothing in Ms***’s “rejection” email that suggested or encouraged a future relationship with Johnson Bank It was very clear that people at our income level were not welcome thereMs***’s title, by the way, is Assistant VP Senior Mortgage Loan Officer Sounds important doesn’t it? I certainly expected a far more professional and personal experience based on her title alone, not to mention the reputation that Johnson Bank attempts to portray in their advertising, which reads in part, “Because of engaged family-ownership, strong values and committed associates...”
What a disappointing and humiliating experience

I just want everyone to know what type of bank this really is. All that information on there "Values pages" is 100% untrue. Just words on a page. Please allow me to tell you a real life experience I have been dealing with. I had a business loan with them for years, never missing a payment, until one day they decided they wanted to call the loan?? Well of course this was right along with the crash of the economy and the loan was for my construction company. I was unable to come up with all the funds, so they immediately sued me. Finally, after months of late charges, extra fees, attorney fees, and so on. I was able to convince them to keep the loan as they promised and keep monthly payments. Well, unfortunately, the economy continued to crash and so did I. My business, house and bank accounts were lost and emptied out and I could no longer pay the loan.
Me and my family have finally got back on our feet and have been begging Johnson Bank to help us out, and to work out a plan for us to pay them off. There stance is, either they want all the money in one payment or for me to file bankruptcy. They continued to come after me threatening me every step of the way. They are unwilling to negotiate and help out a veteran of the United States Marine Corps who has done everything in his will power to pay off all debts and not file bankruptcy.
This is the type of bank and "Family" they really are.

Johnson Bank handling of my mortgage and Heloc was so inept that it probably effected my credit score and ability to obtain credit in the future.
I applied for a reduction in my Heloc interest. After submitting a gigantic amount of financial records, the bank came back and asked for more information ,after submitting more information, they came back and wanted new information. Each time I'd have to call them several times to ask if they "needed anything else". They were terrible on correspondence and requested foolish information (my wife hurt her ankle and was on short term disability and the bank wanted a form signed by her employer stating that she could return to her job- evidently the bank never heard of the Americans with Disabilities Act.). Finally I called to cancel the loan request, left a message but wasn't called back.
Then the Bank sent me a decline siting equity to loan value didn't qualify. They estimated the house value at $260,00 - I had Landmark credit Union have the house appraised - the value was $400,000
They also stated my income to debt payment was a problem. I had a mortgage with them for 8 years the payment was $1,100 and I paid $500 extra every month and never missed a payment.
I subsequently received the Heloc from Landmark for 2% less then Johnson offered and then moved my Mortgages as well.
