Slow, unpredicable service
Like others I placed an order on 1/24/21 and got an immediate email response that my order was received, but after that nothing, after three days I called, yep no answer, left a message, no return call, tried that again, same results. Next day got an email saying my order was ready to ship but they did not have payment, checked with my bank and they had charged my account ? Fed up I replied and told them to cancel the order. They replied(yeah!) that they would cancel. Next day got an email that my order was on the way ! I replied that I had canceled the order, they replied "oh yeah" It was just a mix up in the shipping department (must be a big place, 2 car garage I suspect). I also have a small internet based business (single car garage) and if I ran mine the way they do theirs I would not be in business long.

Review: I purchased 4 Super Nova polishing wheels from [redacted] at the JBL booth at Madras. Shortly after mounting them, one separated - the foam backing of the 600-grit from its plastic hub. After discussion and approval with [redacted] via the phone, I sent it back for warranty along with 4 other wheels for resurfacing. After about 1 month I received the 4 resurfaced wheels, but not the one I had sent for repair. I immediately called JBL (Oct. 6) and spoke with [redacted] who told me that the missing wheel had been located and would be sent. On November 1, with still no wheel, I sent an enquiry by email to [redacted], and he responded by email the next day that he would look into it. On November 6, with no response, I phoned again and was told that the USPS had returned it (undeliverable address) and that he had mailed it again that afternoon and would send me the tracking number. With no tracking number (and no parcel) I emailed [redacted] and reached him by phone again on November 24, and he told me that he would look into it and respond in about 1.5 hours. With no further response, I emailed him a "what's happening?" the next day. No response, and I could not get anyone to pick up the phone today.Desired Settlement: I want my repaired wheel, or a replacement.

I am very disappointed in the service provided by Johnson Brothers Lapidary. On January 22, 2015, I placed an order for a few small items (rock hammers and other tools) totaling around $80.

I received confirmation within minutes and an invoice order status within three hours. Upon inspection, I noted that the order had a comment that stated that the office was closed until Jan. 28 and would not be filled until the first week of Feb. Okay, so this was for a birthday gift, but I can wait.

The first week of Feb came and went, so I logged on to their site and sent a request for an update. No response came back that day, so I decided to call. You guessed it, no one answered their phone! I called several times over the next three days. Finally a gentlemen with a heavy accent answered and said he was very busy but would find my request and send a reply. Nothing came that day, but I did get a note the next day. Here is what came. “Our office is closed till February 18th due to Tucson Gem show. We will get back to you after that. Sorry for the delay.”

Okay, so they must be a small operation so maybe one month for a hammer is expected. NOT. I order things over the internet almost daily and NEVER have encountered this lack of attention.

Now is March 8th, a full 46 days after placing this order and STILL no order filled or correspondence. I still need to fulfill my birthday gift promise and am left with my only option of trying to cancel this order and starting over with another company.

PLEASE, NEVER USE THIS COMPANY, IF YOU ACTUALLY NEED YOUR ORDER FILLED.

Received e-mailed order acknowledgement but have not received any product, nor have I gotten any replies to my e-mails or several phone calls. Recordings have claimed that they are closed due to being away at shows, and I have called several times and left messages outside of the dates they say they are away.

They have my credit card number, and I have no product which is needed urgently.

Review: I needed lapidary machine wheels re-survaced. I sent a total of 6 wheels 4" diameter by 1 1/4" wide to [redacted] in January. It took about 2 or 3 months for the wheels to be sent to me. When they arrived I received 6 wheels but 2 of the wheels were 1 1/2" wide. instead of 1 1/4" wide, of course I can not use these larger wheels on my machine. After many, many conversations with [redacted] and many, many promises that the correct size wheels would be sent I am still without the correct wheels and can not use my machine at all. When and if I receive the correct wheels I told Chen I would send him the larger wheels back. I paid $232.99 for this repair which came out of my account on 3/5/14 when he sent my order to me. I would like for Johnson Brothres Lapidary to complete the transaction by sending me the correct wheels. I see no reason why this cannot be accomplished by 7/19/14.Desired Settlement: Exchange 2 - 1 1/4" wheels for the 2 - 1 1/2" wide wheels so I can use my machine.

Money refunded to the customer as we are not being able to supply the wheels he needs.

I ordered some supplies which said they would be delivered in 3-5 days. After waiting 8 days, I contacted them and they told me that some items were backordered and that they notified me about it which they had not. They told me they would send out the rest of my shipment immediately. It has now been 9 days and I still have received nothing. There phone lines are only open 8-12pm Pacific time which is extremely inconvenient for working professionals. I sent an email two days ago and have received no response. I am very unhappy with their level of service.

I placed an order on 9/5/2015. After seven days it was not shipped. I called and was told they were expecting the equipment that day and would ship the next morning. This did not happen. After two more calls, I received notice that the label was printed on 9/17/2015 and the funds were taken from my account. I checked the tracking number every day as I really need this piece of equipment for my business. It never left the company. When I spoke to them today, he neither confirmed or denied my package was on the way. I have canceled the order and am awaiting a refund.
