Review: Johnson Electric Co. advertised two hours of electrical work with a coupon on [redacted]'s [redacted] for $119. The coupon clearly states that the, "The service provider will contact you within two (2) business days to schedule services." The coupon was purchased on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 and the service provider did not contact me until Sunday, October 6 after I had emailed the company the day the deal was purchased. Work was scheduled and an electrician named [redacted] came to my house and I told him what needed to be done, which was a [redacted] of things. He never mentioned that it was out of the scope of the coupon and thought he could get to everything. I left for work and gave him keys so I am not sure how long he was actually there for. He ran a new line through the crawlspace in the attic to a fixture in a small bathroom and left an invoice on my dining room table for $350 in addition to the two hours that were already paid for. The $350 is for two and a half additional hours of work and materials. He never communicated an additional price until the job was complete and running a line across a 5' space with ample access should by no means cost a homeowner nearly $500. I truly feel like he was trying to rip me off. In addition, I have checked their reviews on [redacted]'s [redacted] and several people have said the same thing. They purchased a coupon and he charged an additional set of hours outside of the initial agreement. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I wanted to report them before settling our dispute, but will call them today. This company is trying to rip off customers and needs to be stopped. Thank you for your help!Desired Settlement: I would like the price reduced by $250. I will pay an additional $100 outside of the initial cost of the coupon, but don't even feel that this is warranted. I also think that the company should be penalized in some way so that they do not continue to treat customers this way.
