They act like they don't want your money, I have tried multiple times to rent an apartment through them and the guy I talked to was not helpful at all I asked him if he could send me pictures/more info on a unit and he responded by saying that he didn't have any photos of the inside because someone lived there They seem to almost have a monopoly on the area that I am looking in so its almost impossible to avoid them A good landlord should know that finding a new place to live is a very stressful time and should try to be understanding of people and there needs/concerns These people do not care at all

Charging me for a bar on the tub that wasn't there when I moved in. I was always able to set shampoo/ conditioning bottles there. They are reluctant to do any repairs on anything. My garage door cable broke. I waited a week before they got a consolidated doors to fix it. They are not a caring group. Mr h[redacted] is not a pleasant person to deal with. The water heater that supplies the washer in the hall was broke for 4 years. They didn't replace it until I contacted the Aging&disabilities resource center of Jefferson county. They expect you to wash windows inside and out if you live on the first floor. It's a lot to ask a disabled person to fit a step stool in between shrubs and evergreens that have spider webs. That a maintenance job.

I've been a renter for 9 months and I'm looking forward to leaving in July when my lease is up. This past winter between October 2013 to May 2014 I've had many cold day and nights where my thermostat never got higher than 55 degrees and the window and doors weren't properly sealed. Johnson & Hellekson promises free heat but they neglect their responsibilities to deliver. I had a broken thermostat for about 2 months before it was finally fixed and my storm door wouldn't tightly seal and close and one of my windows were missing a storm window and wasn't replaced until half way into the winter in 2013.I've had to heat my apartment with my oven at my expense.
